I’ve challenged myself to share more of who I am so that you can better understand the heart behind the candles I pour and the soaps I make. I truly believe that intention matters just as much as ingredients.

I love to write, though I rarely share it. I feel most like myself when I am creating and have found endless joy in being able to merge my passions into something meaningful through Naked Goat.

Lately, I’ve felt pulled to capture what the Cape means to me. The memories, the comfort, the rhythm of the tides and the sense of belonging I find here. Even if the process is a long one, it’s a path I feel deeply called to follow.

Long before I understood why, I was drawn to the rhythm of the waves, the ebb and flow of the tide and the quiet comfort of sitting at the edge of something so vast.

This shoreline carries decades of memories. Laughter drifting through salty air, long walks, sunburned shoulders and my most cherished conversations.

There is something about it that blurs the line between past and present. When I am here, memories become almost tangible.

The Tomato Candle is back for summer. 🍅

This year’s version keeps the green snap of tomato vine at the center, layered with fresh basil leaf, bergamot and lemon peel for a cleaner, brighter finish.

It smells like greenhouse air, crushed stems and late afternoon light.

Allowing every note to soften, settle, and become fully itself.

Perfumery is patience in practice.

Freshly blended perfume can feel sharp around the edges, with materials sitting beside one another instead of moving together. Over time, the fragrance begins to round out. Musks become warmer, woods become smoother, sweetness melts into skin. The scent deepens. Breathes. Evolves.

Clouded especially needs that time.

Built around soft musks, warm skin, airy sweetness, and the tension between earth and sky, it transforms dramatically during its rest.

What begins as separate impressions slowly turns into something seamless and atmospheric like a memory you can’t quite hold onto, but never fully forget.

This part of the process is quiet, but it may be my favorite.
