Our residents recently enjoyed a beautiful day at the Rainbow Trout Farm in Sandy, Oregon, where everyone had the chance to cast a line and enjoy a little fishing. And what a successful day it was — every resident caught a fish, with 15 trout reeled in altogether! 🎣

The fun continued back at the community, where Chef Adam prepared the fresh catch for a delicious fish fry dinner for residents to enjoy together.

The outing was especially meaningful for resident James, who has had a lifelong passion for fishing throughout the Pacific Northwest. Having the opportunity to get back out on the water and enjoy something that has been such an important part of his life made the day even more special — and he’s still talking about it!

Days like these are about more than the destination. They’re about creating opportunities for residents to continue doing the things they love, sharing those experiences with friends, and making new memories along the way.

Employee Spotlight 🌟

Meet our July Employee of the Month, Coleen Cruz, our dedicated Lead Med Tech in Memory Care! Every day, Coleen helps care for our residents by passing medications, supporting her team, and helping keep everything running smoothly. What she enjoys most about her role is building meaningful relationships with residents and being there for them, knowing that even the smallest acts of kindness can brighten someone's day.

Outside of work, her family is at the heart of everything she does and continues to be her biggest motivation. Whether she's relaxing at home, watching movies, or going out to enjoy a meal together, she treasures time spent with the people she loves.

Coleen is also committed to growing both personally and professionally, always looking for ways to become a stronger leader. While she admits she's a little shy when first meeting people, once she's comfortable, her sense of humor quickly shines through. She also loves Japanese cuisine and dreams of traveling to Europe one day.

Meet Anne Junio, our wonderful Lead Concierge and June Employee of the Month! Anne plays an important role in welcoming residents and guests, training new concierge team members, assisting with resident requests, and providing exceptional customer service each day. What she enjoys most about her role is building positive relationships with residents, their families, and her teammates while helping everyone feel valued, supported, and well cared for.

Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending quality time with her family and making the most of every moment together. Whether she's staying active, creating new memories with the people she loves, hiking a scenic trail, or singing karaoke, she believes in maintaining a healthy balance between work and life.
