We wanted to share a quick FYI for our resident’s families and the community. We have recently transitioned to a new phone system at the facility. As with any new technology, our staff are learning to become familiar with the new system and its’ features. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we work through this transition. Residents had a blast in cooking and nutrition class yesterday. Cupcake decorating, ice cream treats and a special visit with our friend Pat Duncan from Harlan Extension Agency made for a sweet day.

We had a blast as we took our bingo-cize program on the road! The morning was filled with laughter, prizes and bingo fun! Thank you, to all our friends at the Senior Citizen Center for being fabulous hosts.

Shawn Step has been a Physical Therapist here at Harlan since 2018! He has now opened his own clinic in Cumberland,Ky. We want to congratulate Shawn Stepp on his new journey!! He will be greatly missed by all of us at Harlan Health and Rehab.

Congratulations to the HHRC all star activity resident on his win today of the artist of the week. Winston attends all activities. He enjoys bingo, bowling and games. He attends Church, bible study and is an active member of the Resident Council. He enjoys reading to other residents and socializing in the common areas. He is a friend to all he meets. Congratulations, Winston!

It was certainly an exciting week here at Harlan Health and Rehab. Residents and staff were thrilled to spend the week with our very special volunteer friends from New York! Their annual visit is definitely a highlight for us all. The week was filled with music, games, arts and crafts and delicious foods. It was an honor to celebrate our resident birthday party, pizza parties and sweet treat socials with our special guests. Thank you for all you do and we are already excited for next year!
