She will lie in state 1 hour prior to the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, 510 S. Bell St., Harlem, GA 30814. Dear Lord, today I pray for all those who were affected by the attacks on September 11th, 2001 Even if I was thousands of miles away and didn't know anyone directly involved, my heart still ached for all those who lost their lives or lost loved ones that day.
Help me never to forget, Lord, that evil can come upon us when we least expect it. What we think is going to be a normal day at work can turn in a moment. And so help me to keep my heart with all diligence and to stay alert, as the devil is on the prowl. Our world was shaken that day, and we're still feeling the effects. Help keep our hearts from bitterness.
I know that you love all people, and that we don't fight against flesh and blood but against the principalities of this dark world.
And so I pray for those who would do evil in this world. You desire that none should perish but that all would come to repentance. Help me to be a light. Help me not to harbor unforgiveness.
And Lord, be with those who lost people on September 11th. Bring peace to their hearts. I know it's been a long time, but the pain of losing someone you love does not ever go away completely. So hold them closely today as they remember and grieve.
It's in the name of Jesus, who is close to the brokenhearted, that I pray. Amen.

Happy Labor Day to all! On this holiday let us hold fast to 1 Corinthians 15:58. This scripture let's us know that, we as believers are encouraged to stay strong and not let outside pressures, or discouragement shake our Faith in Christ. Even when our hard work for God may go unnoticed by others, or show no immediate results, remember, God sees EVERYTHING(OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, AND OMNIPRESENT) and NOTHING done for His Kingdom is wasted.
Just like a car needs an alignment to be steered straight; so should we ALIGN ourselves with Christ and God's Word, so that we may stay on the straight and narrow course..... to one day be with God.
Our work is not done in vain and remember, Galatians 6:9........
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time(in due season) we
will reap a harvest if we do not give up(faint not)."

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, 2pm at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 1646 Clary Cut Rd, Harlem, GA 30814. She will lie in state 1 hour prior to the Funeral Service. Interment will follow immediately afterwards in the Church's Cemetery. Please continue to keep the family and friends lifted up in prayer as they navigate through this time of bereavement.

I would just like to extend a formal sympathy note to 4 of my devoted staff members(my cousins) in regards to the loss of their mother/grandmother. We would like to acknowledge Sandra (SJ) Lewis (daughter), Carlos (Brandy) Lewis (grandson), and other family members, Samuel Lamkin Jr. ( son), Gloria McCladdie (daughter), Travis McCladdie(grandson), and great-grandsons, Greyson and Grant McCladdie. Here at Martin Taylor Funeral Home, I(Martin Taylor...cousin), Johnny C. Jones(cousin), Alan Brown(cousin), Jason Jones(cousin), Mr. and Mrs. Barnes, and other funeral home family and affiliates extend our most sincere condolences to the Lamkin, Dorsey, and Rolland families. When one of us hurt, we all hurt. Mrs. Betty Ann Dorsey Lamkin is very special to us and she was one of my mother's (Catherine Rolland Jenkin's) favorite first cousins. They grew up together and they gained their wings, a little over 2 years apart, from each other. She was definitely a beautiful soul that will truly be missed. Family, as I pray for God's strength and peace, I also ask that everyone, continue to keep our family lifted up in prayer as we all navigate through this time bereavement.
