(Late appreciation post!!!)🪅💃🕺This past May we held our annual Cinco De Mayo event on May 1st! Our event was a huge success, thanks to each and every person who joined and supported us. We want to give a huge shoutout to our sponsors, and everyone who donated.
Thank you to Mount Sinai Hospice, Calidad Home Health and Hospice, and Amado Hospice & Home Health for helping us make this happen. We would also like to thank all the vendors who took time to come and share their businesses with us and everyone who attended.

Why hair color really matters in laser hair removal ⚡️

Laser hair removal works by targeting melanin (pigment) in the hair. The light energy is absorbed by the pigment, converted into heat, and damages the follicle to reduce future growth.

⚡️Dark hair = effective results
Darker hairs contain plenty of melanin, so the laser can heat the follicle enough to kill it.

⚡️Blonde, red, grey & white hair = not treatable with laser
These hair types don’t contain enough pigment for the laser to absorb. This means the energy can’t build up enough heat to destroy the follicle, so laser simply won’t work.

It’s all about contrast!
Laser works best when there’s a clear difference between hair color and skin tone, allowing precise targeting of the follicle.
