In Loving Memory of Alfredo “Freddy” Gerusa Elizondo
September 17, 1951 – September 5, 2025
Today, with reverence and grateful hearts, we honor the cherished memory of our beloved Funeral Director, Alfredo “Freddy” Gerusa Elizondo, on the first anniversary of his passing. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded that some people are placed among us as a blessing called by God to serve, to comfort, and to bring peace to others in moments of sorrow.
Freddy lived that calling with grace, humility, and compassion. Through his work, he ministered to families not only with professional care, but with a tender heart and a spirit of kindness that reflected the love of Christ. In the sacred and delicate moments when families entrusted their loved ones to our care, Freddy offered dignity, steadiness, and understanding. He had a way of bringing comfort without many words, allowing his presence, patience, and faith to speak gently to those who were grieving.
One year has passed, yet his memory remains woven into the heart of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, Harlingen, Texas. We continue to feel his absence, but we also continue to feel the blessing of his example. Freddy showed us that funeral service is more than a profession; it is a ministry of compassion, a sacred duty of care, and an opportunity to be God’s gentle hands for families in need.
His life leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and love. He will be remembered as a devoted Funeral Director, a trusted colleague, a dear friend, and a treasured Founder of our Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, Harlingen, Texas family. Though we miss him deeply, we take comfort in the promise of God’s eternal care and in the hope that Freddy now rests peacefully in His presence.
Today, we invite our community to join us in prayerful remembrance of Freddy and in gratitude for the beautiful life he lived. May the Lord continue to comfort his family, his loved ones, and all who carry his memory in their hearts. May his kindness continue to inspire us, his faith continue to guide us, and his legacy continue to remind us to serve others with love, dignity, and grace.
