🏃‍♀️💙 Moving for a healthier community!

The Cute Pediatrics crew had a great time at the United Way NCC 5K Run in Harlingen! Our team was out there supporting the community and encouraging families to keep moving.

A special shoutout to Dr. Shah, Lorynn, and Karla, who didn’t just show up, they ran the race! 👏🏽🏃‍♀️ Staying active, having fun, and leading by example.

That’s what community outreach is all about! 💙

And a let’s hear it for our Champ, Lorynn for placing first in her age division! 🏆

Strep throat or just a viral sore throat? 🤒🦠 Knowing the difference can help you understand when your child may need to be seen.

Strep throat is caused by bacteria and may require antibiotics, while most viral sore throats improve with rest, fluids, and supportive care. Symptoms can look similar, so when you’re unsure, it’s always best to check with your child’s pediatrician. 💙

Watch for high fever, severe throat pain, difficulty swallowing, white spots on the tonsils, swollen lymph nodes, or symptoms that aren’t improving.

We love getting out into the community and connecting with families where they are! 💙

Today, Cute Pediatrics is tabling at Where The Wild Ones Play LLC in San Benito, a fun indoor space where little ones can play, color, relax, or even enjoy a movie in the theater room. 🧸🎨🎬

Places like this are such a great reminder that community is about more than healthcare it’s about creating spaces where children and families can feel welcome, connected, and supported.

We’re grateful to be here, meet families, share resources, and be part of the community we serve. 💙
