Weekend Reminder: Make the Time 💙

The weekend is here, and sometimes the best thing you can give someone you love is simply your presence.

Make the call.
Stop by for a visit.
Sit and talk for a while.
Share a laugh.
Hold their hand.

Those small moments can bring comfort, joy, and a sense of connection that means more than we sometimes realize.

From all of us at Treasure Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation, we hope you have a peaceful weekend filled with time for the people who matter most. 💙

A Review Like This Means Everything to Our Team 💙

When a family tells us that Treasure Hills felt like home, that is one of the greatest compliments we can receive.

Cindy recently shared this beautiful review about her father’s stay:

“Outstanding service!!! Thank you to all the staff that was so attentive and helpful to my father while he was at the facility. Thank you for going above and beyond to make it feel more like a home.

Thank you to the kitchen who provided healthy and delicious meals that my father enjoyed. Housekeeping maintained his room clean and took time to have a conversation with him. CNAs and nurses provided compassionate care and attended to all his needs. Therapy provided excellent service, giving him encouragement and goals. He always looked forward to therapy time.

This was a home for my father and my family while he was at your building, and we are very grateful for all the love and support.” — Cindy

Cindy, thank you for trusting us with someone so important to you.

To our kitchen, housekeeping, CNAs, nurses, therapy team, and every staff member who helped make her father feel cared for, comfortable, and at home — thank you for putting your heart into what you do every day.

This is what Treasure Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation is all about. 💙

This Week’s Tip: Don’t Wait for a Special Occasion to Show Up 💙

Sometimes we think we need a birthday, holiday, or special reason to visit the people we love.

We don’t.

A simple visit.
A phone call.
Sitting beside them for a few minutes.
Listening to the same story one more time.

Those moments may feel small to us, but they can mean everything to an older loved one.

Tip: Make time this week to simply be present. One day, those ordinary moments may become the memories you treasure most.

At Treasure Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation, we see every day just how powerful love, presence, and connection can be. 💙

Compassion That Goes Beyond the Job 💙

Today we are proud to recognize Amy Salazar, our Social Worker, for the compassion, dedication, and heart she brings to Treasure Hills every day.

Amy does more than support our residents and families. She advocates for those who need a voice, offers comfort during difficult moments, and is always looking for ways to help others.

During Social Worker Week, Amy chose to turn the attention away from herself and toward our service members. With her daughter proudly serving in the armed forces, she encouraged our team to donate essential items for care packages for our troops.

That simple decision says so much about Amy: selfless, thoughtful, compassionate, and always thinking of others.

We are incredibly grateful to have Amy on our team and proud of the example she sets for all of us.

Thank you, Amy, for truly embodying the heart of our mission. 💙

Have a Beautiful Weekend From Treasure Hills 💙

As another week comes to an end, we want to wish our residents, families, staff, and entire community a peaceful and happy weekend.

Take a little time to rest.
Spend time with the people you love.
Make a phone call.
Share a meal.
Enjoy the small moments.

Those are often the moments that mean the most.

From all of us at Treasure Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation, have a safe, joyful, and wonderful weekend. 💙

Strength Can Help Protect Your Independence 💙

Did you know that muscle strength is one of the most important defenses against falls and injury as we age?

Strong legs and a stronger core can help with balance, walking, standing, and everyday movement. That is why rebuilding strength can make such a meaningful difference after illness, surgery, or a hospital stay.

At Treasure Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation, we work with residents to help them get moving, regain strength, and build confidence one step at a time.

Because getting stronger is not just about exercise. It is about helping your loved one move more safely and live with greater independence. 💙

They Still Need to Feel Needed 💙

One of the most meaningful things we can give our older loved ones is a sense of purpose.

Ask for their advice.
Let them share a story.
Include them in decisions.
Remind them that their voice still matters.

As people age, it can be easy for the world to start moving around them instead of with them.

At Treasure Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation, we believe every resident deserves to feel valued, respected, and important.

Because getting older should never mean feeling forgotten. 💙

One Small Tip That Can Make a Big Difference 💙

As our loved ones get older, pay attention to changes in their normal routine.

If someone who is usually talkative becomes quiet, starts skipping meals, sleeps much more, stops enjoying favorite activities, or suddenly seems more confused, do not automatically assume it is “just aging.”

Tip: Notice what is different from their normal, and write down when the change started. That information can be very helpful when talking with their doctor or care team.

Sometimes the smallest changes are the first signs that your loved one needs a little extra support.

A Beautiful Example of Compassion 💙

Today we are proud to recognize Nora Ornelas, whose kindness and selflessness have made a meaningful impact on our Treasure Hills community.

Although Nora is dedicated to caring for one of our residents, her heart reaches far beyond that role. She volunteers during activities, helps with community outings, brings treats and prizes for residents, remembers birthdays, and gives her time simply to make others feel special.

She even shares her talents by providing relaxing facials to residents at no cost, helping them feel cared for, pampered, and valued.

What makes Nora so special is the personal connection she builds with our residents. She takes the time to learn what they enjoy and looks for ways to bring a little more happiness into their lives.

Thank you, Nora, for your generosity, compassion, and the love you continue to share with our residents. We are grateful to have you as part of our Treasure Hills family. 💙
