I've been studying herbalism for a few years— specifically plants that grow wild. Plants that I used to identify when I would do field work as a biologist. The plants that have been doing quiet, powerful work long before anyone put a label on them. Plants that are mostly forgotten about and barely noticed.
And lately, something clicked. I started pressing the wild plants into clay and I realized I was holding three things I love in my hands all at once.
🌱 Herbalism — the quiet wisdom of plants and what they carry
🦶 Reflexology — intentional pressure, presence, and the body's ability to heal
🎨 Art — a moving meditation, where the mind goes quiet and creativity takes over
That last one surprises people. But creative flow is a real physiological state — the chatter stops, time disappears, and your nervous system gets a break it didn't know it needed. It's not so different from what happens on my reflexology table.
Stress doesn't leave because we demand it to. It leaves when we finally give ourselves something worth being present for. For me, right now, it's plants pressed into clay — equal parts herbalism, reflexology, and art.
Healing or creative art doesn't have to look one way. I encourage you to explore ways for you to bring your various passions together. What you find will surprise you in ways you never expect. 🌿
