🧬 HealthMaxxing Series: Let’s Talk PEPTIDES!
Peptides are getting a LOT of attention lately, especially online. But how do you know if what you’re purchasing is actually legitimate? 👀
Before you click “add to cart,” there are a few things you should know!
In today’s HealthMaxxing episode, Jenifer breaks down how to evaluate peptides sold online and what to look for on a Certificate of Analysis (COA).
🔎 Here’s what to look for:
✔️ Product Identification: Does the peptide name on the certificate match what you’re purchasing?
✔️ Lab Verification: Is there a QR code or verification number you can confirm directly through the testing lab?
✔️ Purity Testing: Does the report include an HPLC chromatogram showing the purity of the product? A result above 98% may be a useful benchmark, but purity alone doesn’t establish safety.
✔️ Identity Testing: Does the mass spectrometry result support the identity of the peptide listed?
✔️ Third-Party Testing: Was the product tested by an independent laboratory rather than only the company selling it?
✔️ Testing Date: Is the report recent and specific to the batch you’re purchasing?
⚠️ Important reminder: A COA is only one piece of the puzzle! Even a verified report doesn’t guarantee a product is safe, sterile, FDA-approved, or appropriate for human use. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before considering peptide treatments.
And we’re just getting started! We’ll be diving deeper into individual peptides, their potential benefits, risks, and what the research actually says.
