It was an afternoon of history, music and smiles at Homeland Center!

Residents enjoyed a special presentation from longtime favorite John Maietta, “American Songsmith: Stephen Foster,” highlighting the life and music of the Pennsylvania-born songwriter.

The afternoon continued with a lively visit from the Zembo Shrine Band, another resident favorite, along with refreshments and plenty of toe-tapping fun.

Thank you to John Maietta and the Zembo Shrine Band for bringing joy, connection and wonderful entertainment to Homeland!

At Homeland, compassionate care begins with people like Rebeccah DeVan.

As a Quality Assurance-CNA, Rebeccah helps support the high standards of care that residents and families have come to expect from Homeland. Her journey has taken her through several roles, from CNA to activities coordinator to quality assurance, giving her a deep understanding of the daily teamwork that makes Homeland feel like home.

“You feel the affection when you walk in the door,” Rebeccah said. “Homeland welcomes you with open arms. I’m just going to be here as long as they’ll have me.”

Thank you, Rebeccah, for your leadership, dedication and heart for Homeland’s residents and staff.

From the Manhattan Project to the Galileo spacecraft, Homeland resident John Daly’s life has been shaped by historic moments, meaningful memories and a lifelong gift for problem-solving.

A mechanical engineer, pilot, husband and father, John’s story reflects curiosity, dedication and a remarkable connection to moments that helped shape history. Today, he calls Homeland home, where his family has found comfort knowing he is cared for with kindness and dignity.

“I don’t worry anymore,” said his daughter, Elaine Daly. “He’s been really happy. He loves the food. The people are kind. I feel very fortunate that we found a good, safe place for him.”

We are honored to be part of John’s story and grateful for the lives, memories and experiences our residents bring to Homeland each day.
