In the wake of loss, connection matters.

Homeland Hospice’s Six Week Bereavement Support Group offers a safe space to come together with others who are also grieving. Through shared stories and guided support, participants will work toward understanding their grief and discovering a renewed sense of purpose.

Summer sessions begin Tuesday, June 30 and are led by Homeland Bereavement Counselors Noelle Valentine, MSW, LSW and Alexis Conkle, MSW, LSW.

Participants are encouraged to attend all six sessions to receive the full benefit of the group.

All registrations must be received by June 22.

Grief can feel isolating, but you don’t have to walk this journey alone.

Homeland Hospice invites you to join our Six Week Bereavement Support Group summer sessions beginning Tuesday, June 30. In this group, participants come together to share their experiences, listen to others, and explore ways to find meaning and healing after loss.

Facilitated by Homeland Hospice Bereavement Counselors Noelle Valentine, MSW, LSW and Alexis Conkle, MSW, LSW, this mutual aid group offers a space where strangers often leave as friends.

On Mother’s Day, Homeland celebrated the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who have shared their love, wisdom, and care with us for generations.💐

Residents enjoyed a special afternoon filled with mimosas, chocolate-covered strawberries, fresh pineapple, flowers, and meaningful moments together. We also reflected on the history of Mother’s Day and shared the beloved story “Love You Forever”, reminding us of the lasting bond between mothers and their families.

Recently, Kristi Altice, CRNP, who leads Homeland’s Palliative Care program, joined fellow healthcare and community leaders as a guest panelist for “Speaking Early: Easing Tough Medical Choices Through Family Dialogue” at Kesher Israel Congregation in Harrisburg.

The discussion focused on the importance of compassionate conversations around serious illness, healthcare wishes, and future care planning before difficult moments arise.

At Homeland, we understand how meaningful these conversations can be for patients and families. We are grateful to Kristi for sharing her expertise and helping support compassionate care within our community.
