💦🌞 SPLASH, PLAY, LEARN! 🌈🐳

This week was Water Week at Harrison and we had an absolute blast! 🩵 From splashing and sensory play to games that targeted speech, motor skills, balance, and teamwork, every activity was packed with fun and purpose. We loved making memories while helping our kiddos learn through play!🌊🙃

☀️🐠💧 Berryville’s Water Week will be July 27–31… we can’t wait to make another splash!

✨ Therapy Highlights from Last Week ✨

Another week full of learning, laughter, and BIG accomplishments! 🩵

Here’s what our kiddos were up to:

👐 Strengthening bilateral coordination, motor planning, and core muscles through fun water play with sponges, foam soap, ducks, and spin toys.
🧠 Exploring interoception—our “8th sense”—by learning to recognize and label body signals during favorite messy play activities.
🗣️ Using AAC to build communication, make choices, request favorite activities, and engage with others throughout therapy sessions.
🍦 Making ice cream in a bag while practicing problem-solving, flexibility, and perseverance… then celebrating the sweet reward at the end!
🏴‍☠️🧜 Diving into a pirate & mermaid sensory bin packed with opportunities for sensory exploration and imaginative play.
📚 Building language, attention, and early literacy skills through interactive story time.
✂️ Folding origami together to challenge fine motor precision, bilateral coordination, and patience.

Every activity may look like play, but each one is carefully designed to help children grow stronger, more confident, and more independent. We are so proud of all the hard work from last week! 🌟🥰
