I am a licensed counselor with specialized training for trauma counseling with u

se of principles from IFS/parts-work and from Natural Lifemanship. I enjoy taking the journey alongside my clients as they build awareness of their inner world and how that impacts the relationships around them, so that they can connect back to the parts of self from which they may have disconnected. My approach to counseling is trauma-focused and relationship- centered. I believe in using a somatic experiential approach with use of movement, rhythm, bottom-up regulation tactics, and exploration of inner parts of one's identity/sense of self. I often encourage creative expression of emotions that does not always include verbal expression! Legacy Connections & Counseling was formed with the desire to offer a supplemental modality to traditional talk therapy. I've found that when processing relationship patterns and parts of self that show up in relationships, it is helpful to have real-time experience through working with horses. As prey animals, horses react to what they sense and feel in that moment, which gives us immediate feedback on what we is happening in our bodies or what part of us is present.
