That Shakespeare quote has long been an anchor for me.
Tonight, as Teresa and I — and our families — celebrate at the Shenandoah Valley’s Best party, I’m honestly awed.
First… we won a competition we hadn’t even realized we entered.
And second… this quirky little membership-based family medicine practice made its mark on this community.
Our few hundred patients, in the midst of practices with thousands — even tens of thousands — of patients… and McCain Whole Health Care was voted Best Family Medical Practice?
LOVE WINS.
I firmly believe that.
And tonight feels like confirmation of it.
Not perfection.
Not polish.
Not hustle culture.
Not volume.
Love.
Relationship.
Presence.
Trust.
Consistency.
Care.
In the midst of all my imperfections, the relationships we’ve been honored to build over these past 8 years remind me that relationships are foundational to healthcare.
For patients.
For physicians.
For sustainable change.
For empowered individuals.
For healthy boundaries.
For personalized care that truly sees the whole person.
Thank you for saying yes to us.
Thank you for trusting us with your stories, your healing, your families, your grief, your growth, your hope.
Direct Primary Care is something special.
And tonight I also want to celebrate fellow local DPC physicians:
