Big things are coming for some of our smallest patients at Cass Regional! Thanks to the generosity of Reed Ford of Harrisonville and Show Me Auto Mall, pediatric patients will soon have the opportunity to ride to their appointments and procedures in Pediatric Transport Vehicles designed to help reduce fear and anxiety during their visit.

These battery-operated vehicles will allow children to feel like they are “driving” themselves while remaining safely secured with seat belts and guided by a staff member using a remote control. What may seem like a small moment can make a very big difference for a child and their family during a stressful healthcare experience. We are incredibly grateful to these community partners for helping us create a more comforting and positive experience for our youngest patients.

Join us for the next Pulmonary Support Group meeting at Cass Regional on Thursday, June 11, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Conference Rooms 1–3. Lunch will be provided.

This month’s guest speaker is Doug Catron, who will present on Fraud & Cyber Safety and share practical tips on protecting yourself from scams and cyber threats.

Doug Catron began his law enforcement career with the Harrisonville Police Department in 1978 and has dedicated 48 years to public safety. A graduate of the Kansas City Missouri Police Academy and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development program, Doug has served in numerous leadership and investigative roles throughout his career, including Detective, SWAT Commander, Acting Chief, and Criminal Investigator with the Cass County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He currently serves as a Detective with the Archie Police Department part time and continues supporting the community through his work in hospital security at Cass Regional Medical Center.
