Byron Irvin Borchers, 85, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Byron was born in Monmouth, Illinois on February 6, 1941, to Irvin and Virginia (Myers) Borchers. He graduated from Hinkley High School in 1959 and earned his bachelor's degree in agriculture from Wisconsin-Platteville.

Byron served his country in the US Army and on June 19, 1965, he married Mary Doll and together they would make their home in northern Delaware County.

Byron worked as a fieldman for Campbell Soup Company and HLH of Muncie as well as owning and operating Shideler Spray from 1966 – 2007.

He was a life-long fan of the Chicago Bears and Purdue University. Byron was a long-time member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Gaston American Legion, Muncie Amvets and the Maine Anjou Association.

Surviving family include his wife of 60 years, Mary Borchers; two sons: Tom Borchers (Jessyca), Tad Borchers (Marcy); grandchildren, Evan Borchers (Kahlee), and Molly Wells (Dustin); three great-grandchildren: Juliette, Elaina, and Olivia as well as his sister, Julie Rogers.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Virginia Borchers.

Graveside funeral services with Military Honors by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Patrick Dean Letterman, 68, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on May14, 2026.

Patrick was born in Springfield on March 30, 1958, to Doyle Dean and Clara (Fear) Letterman and there he made his home. He attended school in Springfield and worked as a carpenter.

He is survived by his children, Kyle Woods (Tiffany) and Brandy Woods; two grandchildren: Griffin Woods and Gwenevere Woods; two sisters, Sandy Blair (Randy) and Cindy Myers, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents Doyle Letterman and Clara Conrad.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at Brookside Cemetery, North County Road 450 East, Montpelier, IN 47359.

Monte T. Seals, 62, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Community Hospital Anderson.

He was born on May 14, 1964, in Muncie to Richard and Barbara (Cox) Seals. He was a 1982 graduate of Delta High School, and he made his home on the Seals Family Farm.

Monte started working at nursing facilities out of high school and served as a 4H leader. Later, he went to work for Thomas Business Center in Muncie, retiring after over 30 years of employment. He also worked for Magna Powertrain and Pitman-Richman Funeral Home for over 15 years.

On October 30, 2021, he married Jesse Meyers at their home.
Survivors include his husband, Jesse Meyers; two sons, Shane Seals (Sloan); Corey Seals (Lauren); two grandchildren: Maggie and Hudson Seals.

Monte was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Barbara Seals; his brother, Rick Seals; his aunt, Doris McDaniel and uncle, Ralph McDaniel, his nephew, Chad Seals and his stepmother Anne Seals.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton with Brian Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 12 and after 10:00 am Saturday.
