ys to amplify them. If you’re not working on health equity issues, we want to see how your work relates to it. The Connecticut Health Foundation:

(1) Funds innovative programs and initiatives that change health systems to improve the health of all. (3) Develops influential leaders who can champion health justice. (4) Changes structures and opinions that contribute to health inequities. (5) Elevates the voice of the consumer to ensure that the health care system reflects diverse consumer needs and preferences.

PT Partners is a grassroots, resident-led organization in Bridgeport. They're one of our Trusted Messenger grantees who are communicating about the upcoming changes to Medicaid and changes that have already been made to SNAP.

Members of our team were grateful to spend a day in Bridgeport seeing their work up close and meeting some of the people behind it!

We are pleased to announce that Alvin W. Thompson has been named chair of the Connecticut Health Foundation's board of directors.

CT Health also named Hector Glynn vice chair of the board and welcomed Moy Ogilvie as a new board member.

In addition, the foundation awarded $937,200 in grants during the second quarter.
