What a great morning at the Beaver Dam Community Farmers Market! ☀️🥕🍎

Thank you to everyone who came out for Kids’ Day, especially on such a hot August morning! We loved seeing so many families join us for a morning of learning, creating and having fun.

Through our partnership with Morrison Healthcare Food Service, we were able to bring a teaching kitchen to the market for free fruit pizza-making sessions. This activity was a part of OCH’s initiative and was a fun way to show kids that healthy eating can be colorful, creative and delicious. Kids also learned about building a balanced plate with our MyPlate bracelets, featuring fruits, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy, along with the importance of eating a rainbow of fruits and vegetables.

A special thank you to all of our OCH volunteers who helped make Kids’ Day a success, including our GI providers, Dr. Miguel Lalama and Brittany Davidson, APRN, and our dietary team through Morrison’s.
