💬 The new school year is an exciting time, but social pressures and new routines can spike anxiety and other challenges for youth. Village Chief Medical Officer Dr. Laine Taylor joined state leaders to spread the word about resources to help, including the state’s youth mental health Urgent Crisis Centers (UCCs). She also discussed how a family’s challenges with basic needs or housing can impact children’s mental health.

In roughly the last year, there were about 55,000 calls to Connecticut’s 988 su***de hotline and more than 28,000 calls to the social services 211 hotline.
