Marriage Tip:

The most powerful words in a marriage are often the simplest ones. đź’›

Please.
Thank you.
I love you.
I’m sorry.

We use words all day long, but these four can build trust, soften conflict, and deepen connection when they are spoken sincerely.

If one of those phrases feels difficult to say, don’t ignore it—practice it. Start with small, everyday moments. The more often we use these words with genuine intention, the more natural they become, and the stronger our relationships grow.

Tonight, try saying one of these words a little more intentionally than usual. You may be surprised by the difference it makes. ✨

📚 Sunday Book Recommendation

What if one of the biggest obstacles in your marriage isn't a lack of love—but a lack of understanding?

Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus by John Gray has become a relationship classic because it helps couples recognize that men and women often respond to stress, conflict, and communication in very different ways.

One insight from the book is the "Four Fs": during conflict, many men tend to fight or take flight, while many women fake being fine or fold. Recognizing these patterns is the first step toward changing them.

Healthy marriages aren't built by winning arguments—they're built by learning to understand each other better.

Through Retrouvaille, we've seen that when couples learn new ways to communicate and truly listen, healing and hope become possible.

📚 Sunday Book Recommendation

Healthy marriages don't begin by changing our spouse…They begin by changing ourselves.

In It Begins with You, Jillian Turecki shares practical, thought-provoking truths that can help strengthen every relationship. While this book isn't written exclusively for married couples, its insights are immediately applicable to marriage.

One of the most powerful reminders:

"It's not our spouse's job to make us happy, but rather our own."

When we take responsibility for our own growth, healing, and emotional well-being, we become better partners. Strong marriages are built by two people who are committed to becoming the healthiest version of themselves—not by expecting the other person to complete them.

Whether your marriage is thriving, struggling, or somewhere in between, this book offers practical wisdom worth reflecting on together.

❤️ Through Retrouvaille, we've seen firsthand that lasting change begins with one courageous step. If your marriage needs hope, healing, or a fresh start, we're here to help.

Marriage Tip:

It’s often said that conflict doesn’t ruin marriages; conflict avoidance does.

The hard conversations might feel uncomfortable, but staying silent can be far more damaging.

When we talk about the issues, we remove their power to hurt us.

Choose courage.
Choose kindness.
Choose each other.

What’s one tough conversation you’ve been avoiding? Maybe today is the day to start.
