EMERGENCY 911 Social Skills Class: Tonight’s class was all about safety as Officer Chad taught us that police are friendly and available to help and protect us. Miss Christa from “Safety Matters” provided a mini first aid lesson, and Miss Susan helped us recognize the difference between emergency and non-emergency situations. A great night educating our participants on staying safe!

New research is out on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in airports and on airplanes. It points to the importance of access to an AED... 100% of on plane cardiac arrest survivors had AED application and defibrillation.

A new study about air travelers who have cardiac arrests in airports and on planes underscores the value of improved training and better awareness for bystander CPR and the use of defibrillators, researchers say.

OSHA updated their guidance on COVID 19 in the workplace today. The changes are aimed at focused protections for the unvaccinated/at-risk employee and encouraging vaccination. A good read for any safety professional!
