I was going to make a standard business anniversary post about being thankful to still be here but my heart wanted the floor to speak. So, here’s what my heart has to say:

First, thank you to Marla Robinson for the beautiful roses in honor of my 11 year business anniversary. You have been one of my biggest supporters but also one of my greatest inspirations. I am so thankful to have had you on my side for the last 30+ years.

Little did I know 30 years ago what the path into the future would entail. I didn’t know that the relationships I would develop would transcend client/patient/provider into sisterhood and family. Every single one of you has taught me how to be a better person, mother, friend, nurse and yoga teacher. But that list goes on and on.

I am honored to have witnessed and been able to support you all in your life journey as well from watching your children grow, becoming grandparents, losing parents, navigating devastating diagnosis, overcoming tragedy and experiencing the most joyous occasions. Every moment has been something I hold in a very sacred part of my being. Because what I do isn’t just a job or career. It’s my calling and you helped me discover that.

When I put my sassy pants on and make you see your worth and value, it’s because you also did that for me. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for supporting me and my business. You are the reason I’m here.

So, cheers 🥂 here’s to success and love and many more years in front of us.

Many women have finally come to the conclusion that pushing themselves to the brink on a daily basis has made them brittle instead of stronger. And these same women have taken a step back to assess what needs to change in order for them to be resilient and healthy. And that result has been the realization that we can rest. Restorative rest. Without permission. Without excuses. Because we were NEVER meant to be switched “on” 24/7.

After more than 30 years in skincare, I’ve learned that healthy skin is rarely about the latest trend or a quick fix.

It’s about the long game.

The same is true of our health. The small, consistent choices we make over time; how we care for our skin, nourish our bodies, manage stress, sleep, move, and create moments of restoration - compound.

My approach to skincare has evolved alongside my understanding of whole-person wellness. I’m less interested in chasing perfection and more interested in supporting healthy skin and a healthy body for the years ahead.

Sometimes, that means returning to simple, time-tested rituals.

Consistency over complexity. Always.

Midlife is not the season that asks women to become more disciplined, productive, or self-sacrificing. This is the season that asks us to become more attuned. We must create rhythms that help us feel safe, steady, and regulated. Supportive routines help create predictability, and that is one of the nervous system’s favorite forms of safety.

Maybe progress doesn’t always look like moving forward.

Sometimes, it looks like finally asking for help.
Resting before you completely burn out.
Saying “no” without writing an entire apology.
Trying again after a day that made you want to give up.

You may not be where you hoped you would be by now, but that doesn’t mean you’re failing.

Look at everything you’ve carried, everything you’ve learned, and all the quiet ways you’ve begun choosing yourself.

You’re doing better than you think. Please don’t forget to give yourself credit for that. 💗
