As we begin dreaming about our 11th Annual New Year Gathering, I find myself at a crossroads—and I’d love your honest feedback.
Over the past ten years, this gathering has become a meaningful tradition for many of us. We’ve welcomed incredible teachers, shared meals, practiced together, reflected on the year behind us, and stepped into the new year in community.
At the same time, I’ve heard a wide range of feedback over the years:
* “I’d love more movement.”
* “I’d prefer less movement and more discussion.”
* “The weekend feels too long.”
* “I wish it lasted longer!”
* “I’d rather spend more time diving deeply into one topic.”
* “I love having lots of different teachers and workshops.”
As you can imagine…it’s hard to create an event that meets everyone’s needs!
Truthfully, I’ve gone back and forth about whether to continue offering the New Year Gathering at all. Before making that decision, I wanted to ask the people who matter most—you.
Would you take just a couple of minutes to reply to this email and share your thoughts?
I’d especially love to know:
• Would you attend a full weekend gathering?
• Would you be more likely to attend just one or two workshops?
• Would you enjoy one longer immersive workshop on a single topic, or do you prefer several different teachers and shorter sessions?
• What has kept you from attending in the past?
• If you’ve attended before, what did you love most? What would you change?
• Is there anything that would make this event a “yes” for you in 2027?
Your feedback will help shape what comes next.
My heart has always been to create experiences that bring our community together in meaningful ways, and I want to make sure this gathering continues to serve the people it’s intended for.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I truly value your perspective, and I hope you’ll help me imagine what the future of this tradition could look like.
With gratitude,
Jamie
