Throwback Thursday | Hines Funeral Home — 2002

A strong organization is built by people who believe in the work, the mission, and the community they serve.

This photo takes us back to 2002 and represents an important chapter in the history of Hines Funeral Home.

Pictured from left to right: Bobby McAllister, Joseph Brockington, Doris Griffin, J. Khalfani Hines, Franklin Hines, Carl Days, Omijean Timmons, and Floyd Davis.

Some names and faces have changed through the years, but the commitment remains the same: serve families with dignity, professionalism, compassion, and respect.

As we celebrate 80 years of service in 2026, we honor the people who helped carry the Hines tradition forward. Their service is part of our story—and part of the legacy we continue today.

80 years. Generations of service. One commitment to our community.

THROWBACK TRIBUTE | 80 YEARS OF HINES

As we celebrate 80 years of Hines Funeral Home, we recognize that our legacy was not built by one person or one generation. It was built by dedicated men and women who believed in serving families with dignity, professionalism, and compassion.

Today, we honor Mr. Robert Cabbagestalk and Mr. Frank Benjamin, two former Hines Funeral Home associates whose service became part of the foundation upon which our firm continues to stand.

Long before social media, websites, and online reviews, a funeral home’s reputation was built person by person, family by family, and service by service. Associates like Mr. Cabbagestalk and Mr. Benjamin represented Hines Funeral Home in the community and helped establish the standard of service that has carried forward through generations.

Eighty years is more than a milestone—it is a collection of people, stories, sacrifices, and relationships.

To Mr. Robert Cabbagestalk and Mr. Frank Benjamin, we honor your contribution to the Hines Funeral Home story and thank you for being part of our history.

As we look toward the future, we will never forget the shoulders upon which we stand.
