Many thanks to the Harwinton Volunteer Fire Department and LADIES AUXILIARY for the amazing lunch today!

They have one of their big fundraising events every year on Father’s Day!
The firefighters stayed after their event to cook for us!

They also sent many gallons of milk and chocolate milk, bottles of orange juice, a gallon of maple syrup, many loaves of bread, many boxes of Dunkin’ Munchkins, fresh fruit cups, several dozen leftover raw eggs, two full trays of pancakes and about 15 pounds of breakfast sausages!!!

Our donations arrive, not only from Bristol organizations and residents, but also from MANY surrounding communities!

Thank you to the Harwinton Lions Club for the recognition of our volunteer work! Very humbled.

We have been the FB admin for the Lions for 15+ years as well as for the Harwinton Land Trust and Brian's Angels Homeless Outreach more recently.

We are also the primary care giver for a Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation breed Mom in support of the Lion’s international vision mission.

The staff here is very supportive of the supply drives that are centered at our office about 50 weeks/year!

Happy we can help multiple organizations in our tiny way! 💖

The adult is hospitalized in stable condition.

Measles is a highly contagious disease that can spread quickly through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. According to the CDC, 9 out of 10 unvaccinated individuals who encounter an infected person will become infected with the measles virus. Measles can be dangerous, especially for children under the age of five. About 1 in 5 unvaccinated people in the U.S. who get measles end up being hospitalized.

Symptoms of measles generally begin 7-14 days after exposure to an infected person. ..."
