When Velma first suggested senior living, her lifelong farm-boy husband, Carl, wasn’t exactly jumping at the idea. But after a few tours with their daughter, they found their place at Edgewood Mitchell Assisted Living. Carl planted the community’s first garden, while Velma has been busy making herself at home. She’s learned new songs on the piano, figured out how to text and stay connected on her iPhone, and tackled everyday challenges with a little more confidence, all with the support of her care team along the way.

Seventeen years ago, when Rose and Elvin first walked through the doors at Edgewood Fargo, those were the famous words of their granddaughter. We’re excited to have Kamri leading our Hastings community and can’t wait to see what’s ahead! 💚

Today we’re celebrating National Senior Citizens Day and the amazing residents who make our community so special! ❤️
With the fair coming to town, we decided to bring the carnival fun right to our residents! 🎠🍿🎟️ Our residents had their very own carnival, filled with fun, laughter, sweet treats, games, and wonderful memories!

Please join us in welcoming Kamri Machnicki as the new Executive Director of Edgewood Hastings. Born and raised in Hastings, Kamri is honored to serve the community that has shaped her life. After attending Hastings College she began her career in healthcare and has spent the past six years building meaningful relationships and providing compassionate care.
Kamri and her husband are proud to be raising their two young daughters in Hastings, and together they enjoy golfing, spending time outdoors and making lasting family memories. She states she is “committed to creating an environment where residents, families, and team members feel valued, supported, and cared for”
