These little rainbows of light that find their way into the studio always seem to arrive at just the right moment. They remind us that when light passes through different perspectives, something beautiful is created.

💛 International Yoga Day ~ a global celebration of the practice that helps us return to ourselves again and again.
💛 Father’s Day Weekend ~ a time to honor the fathers, father figures, mentors, and steady supports who help guide our journey.

✨ Teacher Spotlight: Bernadette Price ✨

This month we’re celebrating one of the gentle hearts of our community, Bernadette Price. 💙

Bernadette completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in Spring 2024 with a deep appreciation for the healing power of yoga, community, and connection. Her teaching is rooted in trauma-informed care and accessibility, creating welcoming spaces where every body can feel supported and seen.

Yoga first entered Bernadette’s life through an athletic powerlifting practice, but over time became something much deeper. Following the loss of her mother in 2021, she found comfort in slowing down, reconnecting with herself, and allowing yoga to become a pathway for healing, grief, and renewal.

In her classes, you’ll find meaningful breathwork, guided meditation, gentle movement, restorative practices, and opportunities to reconnect with your mind, body, and spirit. Beyond the mat, Bernadette facilitates Grief Gatherings, Full Moon Women’s Circles, Youth Yoga Workshops, and serves as a hospice professional, supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most tender transitions.

Her compassion, wisdom, and calming presence are gifts to our community, and we’re so grateful she shares them with us.

As June arrives, we step into a season of light, growth, and possibility.

This month, we’re exploring the Niyama of Saucha (Purity)—an invitation to clear away what feels heavy, stagnant, or distracting so we can reconnect with the light already within us. Through movement, breath, community, and stillness, we return to ourselves again and again.

As the days grow longer, may this month offer moments to pause, breathe deeply, move intentionally, and shine from within. ☀️

Some of our greatest teachers have four paws and an extraordinary capacity to love. 🐾💜

This spring, the NS community and our Spring 2026 Yoga Teacher Training graduates came together through Community Classes and raised $1,200 for .

Today, we’re celebrating not just the donation, but the beautiful rescue pups who have found their way into the hearts and homes of our Storm Family. Before the cozy couches, adventures, naps, and belly rubs, each of these dogs was waiting for a second chance.

These sweet souls remind us that healing comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s found on a yoga mat. Sometimes in a caring community. And sometimes in the wag of a tail waiting at the door after a long day.

Thank you to everyone who practiced, donated, and helped make this gift possible—and thank you to Wags Rescue for the life-changing work you do every day. 🐶

One last weekend in May to let go before we begin to shine 🌟

May has invited us into the practice of Aparigraha- releasing what no longer serves us, softening our grip, and creating space for new growth.

And just beyond this threshold, June arrives with a new invitation: Shine From Within. 💫

One of the things we cherish most at Nourishing Storm is the beautiful creativity and resilience that lives within this community. ✨

So many of you are artists, makers, musicians, healers, caregivers, and dreamers—bringing your unique light into the world in ways that inspire us every day.

This month, we’re celebrating Monica. 💜

Monica’s journey is one of giving deeply, loving fiercely, and now… returning home to herself.

A nurse by trade and caregiver at heart, Monica spent years caring for others and supporting family through life’s challenges and losses—often putting her own well-being to the side, as so many caregivers do. Returning to yoga became something sacred: a way to quiet her mind, find inner peace, and reconnect with herself.

Her words say it best: “As a caregiver, you forget who you are and focus on everyone else… This time I’m older, wiser, more prepared, and willing to take charge. That exceptional care will be focused on me moving forward.” 🤍

That spirit of love and comfort flows into her creative work through , where she creates the softest handmade huggable heart pillows—little reminders that healing can be gentle, comforting, and full of heart.

We were honored to feature Monica as our Artist of the Month last year, and now, to celebrate her as Yogi of the Month feels especially meaningful.

Thank you, Monica, for sharing your light, your story, and your beautiful heart with this community. ✨
