The Forrest General Cancer Center expansion is an important step in increasing access to care for patients throughout the region. The additional space will help accommodate more patients and support the Cancer Center’s ability to meet the community’s needs.

As the Cancer Center continues to grow, so does Hattiesburg Clinic Hematology/Oncology, with Madeline C. Fitzpatrick, MD, recently joining the team of physicians and providers caring for patients here in Hattiesburg.

This expansion, along with the growth of Hematology/Oncology, helps create greater access to the care patients need, right here at home. The commitment remains focused on making comprehensive care more accessible for patients and families without having to travel far from home.

Phase 1 of our Cancer Center expansion is now complete, marking an important milestone in our commitment to delivering exceptional oncology care to our community.

The new two-story addition expands our overall capacity, improves patient flow and access, and creates dedicated space to support both current and future cancer care needs. This includes 13 new exam rooms and four provider offices on the second floor, helping reduce patient wait times and support more efficient care.

This is just the beginning. We remain committed to growing our cancer care to meet the needs of our patients and community, ensuring they have access to exceptional care close to home.
