Vicky J. New, 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026 in Purvis, MS. She was born on April 25, 1959 in Hattiesburg to James E. and Edna E. Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy Smith Corley, brothers James H. “Bo” Wallace and Glenn “Dood” Wallace. She is survived by her husband James “Randy” New, sons Jeff Bradley (Kerry Morris), Steven New (Eileen) and daughter Alisa New (Rob Walker); grandchildren Tyler Bradley, Lilly Bradley, Travis Morris, Mia New, Kerrigan Dearmon, Dahlia New and Penelope New; brothers Jerry Wallace and Ricky Wallace. Mary T Maine, age 81, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at Asbury Hospice in Hattiesburg. Mary was born on May 13, 1945 to William and Janie Rayner.

Mary was a devoted homemaker who spent her life supporting her husband and children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Maine; and her 2 sons: Joseph Maine and Roy Maine.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Vivian Henderson' her two granddaughters: Kayla Henderson and Mary Henderson; 3 great grandchildren; her brother, John (Linda) Rayner; special nephew, Aaron Rayner, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Richburg Baptist Church at 11:00 AM.

Gavin Denham Nicholson, 68, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at Myrtle's Nursing Center in Columbia MS. Gavin 'Denny' was born on December 28, 1957 to Gavin & Barbara Nicholson Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Barbara and Gavin Jr,; his grandparents: brothers and sister, his daughter: Amanda Milian; his son: Billy (Squigy) Nicholson, and his granddaughter: Abby.

He is survived by his daughter: Trista (Scott) Ward; son: Phillip (Shannon) Nicholson; son: Denny Nicholson; daughter: Josh Cox; grandchildren: Tristin, John, Kevin, Summer, Skyler, Phillip, Denham, Desirea, Kristin, Tereza, Isabela, Joeana, April, Jason and Christina Whitehead; along with numerous great grandbabies. He also leaves behind the beloved mother to his children: Edna Oxner.

Denny loved fishing and hunting. Gavin also served in the US Army National Guard and we thank him for his service.

Pallbearers are: Scott Ward, Tristan Ward, Denham Nicholson, Adrian Duque, Shavis Slocum and Leroy 'his friend'.

Terry Bryan Teston, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away
peacefully on July 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on January 26, 1958, Terry grew up in Foxworth, Mississippi,
where he spent his entire life. After graduating from West Marion
High School, he built a career that included bridge construction, law
enforcement, and truck driving. Throughout his career, Terry was
known for his strong work ethic.
Terry found the greatest happiness in life's simple pleasures. He
cherished time spent with family and friends, enjoyed the hobbies that
brought him joy, and valued the relationships he cultivated
throughout the years. He was happiest catching up with loved ones,
sharing stories, or simply enjoying good company. His home and
heart were always open to anyone who needed a helping hand or a
friendly conversation.
An avid collector, Terry took great pride in building collections of
fi****ms, farm equipment, and all manner of interesting wares over
the years. He was also a devoted fan of science fiction and enjoyed
countless television shows and movies that sparked his imagination.
Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erma and Virgil
Bedwell and John and Bertie Teston, and by his parents, Milder Fay
and Frank Teston.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen, Terrie, and Marlena; his
brothers, Dale Teston (Margie) and Gary Teston (Belinda); his
step-mother, Dulcie Teston; his partner, Suzy Fox; and numerous
grandchildren,...
