Uno put in a solid work day helping people heal. As I told him goodbye this afternoon, we had this moment where I felt so much support and connection. It was special. He is special.

UPDATE!! Dunny is much better! When this happened, I was way too emotional to post. I shared mostly for my horse friends who know how devastating it is to see this on a random Tuesday. Thank you to everyone who reach out with care and concern!

Here’s the real deal…Dunny has arthritis in both front feet from old injuries. He is sometimes sore, even with corrective shoeing and a daily anti inflammatory. On this particular day, an arthritis flare up combined with an abscess in a back hoof, making it very uncomfortable for him to walk. This video was actually taken for me to send to the vet. He was treated and has recovered nicely!

Every horse owner knows what this feels like. You go out to feed on a regular Monday, and suddenly your whole plan for the day and week are in question. Horses are simultaneously strong and fragile. They get sick and hurt without notice or care for your schedule.

What’s your play here? I’m seriously curious what other HORSE OWNERS do in this situation. TIA
