Wesley was born in Manassas, Virginia, on March 13, 1963, to Edward Tugman and Margaret Rogers. He was raised in Manassas Park, Virginia, where he attended Manassas Park High School. Later in life Wesley moved to Massachusetts, where he worked for more than a decade at Tewksbury State Hospital. During that time, he met Heidi Morton, and together they welcomed three children: Wesley Tugman Jr., Amanda Tugman, and Holly Tugman. Michael Patrick McGonagle Jr.
11/20/2004 -6/1/2026

Some lives are not measured by years, but by the love they leave behind. Today we remember a young man whose journey ended far too soon. We mourn the future he deserved, the moments that will never be, and the pain that led him to this place.
Yet we also celebrate the person he was, the Grandson, Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, Friend, or loved one who brought such joy into the lives of others. May we remember him with compassion, speak his name with love, and honor his memory by loving and caring for one another the way he did and would have wanted us to. He was so much more than the way he passed !

He was laughter shared around a table, dreams not yet fulfilled, kindness shown in quiet moments, and a life that touched others in ways that cannot be measured. Addiction may have been part of his story, but it was never the whole story. Those who loved him remember his smile, his humor, his hopes, and the countless moments that revealed the love he shared and the goodness of his heart.

Today we grieve what was lost, but we also honor what was given. His life mattered. His love mattered. His memory will continue to matter in all the hearts of the people who knew him and loved him.
Though his years were too few, the impact of his life remains. We carry him forward in our hearts, in our stories, and in the love that death cannot take away. Michael Patrick McGonagle, Jr. is no longer in pain.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 11th from 4PM until 7PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Please visit www.comeaufuneral.com

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories we announce the peaceful passing of Joan F. Roy, 96, of Haverhill, on May 28, 2026; she was at home surrounded by her loved ones.

With profound love and gratitude, we celebrate the extraordinary life of our beloved mother, Joan, who left a permanent mark on the lives of everyone she touched. At 96 years young, she embodied the spirit of adventure and joy, radiating warmth and kindness wherever she went. Her infectious enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures, such as shopping, going out to eat, downhill skiing, camping, a cold draft beer, and dancing, always being the life of the party, inspired us all. Her crowning achievement was conquering the Tuckerman's Ravine with dear friends Marie and Susie, a testament to her fearless spirit. Renting oceanfront cottages and spending time at the beach brought her immense happiness. Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and entire family. A true angel on earth, Joan's selflessness and generosity inspired us all. She had a special gift for finding the perfect gift, often surprising loved ones with thoughtful presents. Mom and Dad together, they instilled in us the values of kindness, compassion, honesty and faith. Mom's remarkable life was a testament to the power of love, leaving an enduring legacy of warmth, kindness, and devotion. Her unwavering faith and commitment to her Catholic values guided her every step. We are eternally grateful for the lessons she taught us, and we will continue to celebrate her life, cherishing the memories and love she shared with us.

Joan was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived her childhood there, moving to Haverhill, Massachusetts in the 1940s when she was a young teenager. She moved with her mother Jane Bertsch and her sister Irene, with her two children Mickey and Marianne and brother Bob. Mickey (Henrickson) and Marianne (Moody) have so much love for their Aunt Joanie saying she was like a mother and friend to them. She was a proud graduate of Haverhill High School in 1949. She retired working full-time at A. W. Chesterton when she was 80 years old, working there since 1977. Joan also worked at the Hytron Plant in Newburyport in the 1950s, which is where she met our dad and fell in love. Joan was a member of Saint James Parish in Haverhill for decades, where family Baptisms, First Communions, Confirmations, Weddings and funerals occurred.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, her soulmate, Joseph Laurent Roy, her daughter Jane Marie (Roy) White, her son-in-law Stephen J. White, and her grandchild Charise Mae Wholley. She was also predeceased by her Mother, Jane Bertsch, and her sisters Irene Whitehouse, Chickie Gillespie and brother Robert Bertsch. She leaves her sons Norman Roy and his wife Lynn from Bakersfield, CA, Gary Roy from Portland, ME, Joseph Roy and John Roy and his wife Nilsa Montijo-Roy all from Haverhill. She leaves her daughter Judy Wholley and her husband Michael Wholley from Haverhill; she also leaves her daughter Deborah Mclean from Loudon, NH. She leaves her grandchildren Amy White, Stephen White, Joseph Roy, Jonathan Roy, Merri (White) Morrill and Shannon (White) Crowley and William and Aaron Mclean. She leaves her great-grandchildren Brodie John White, Callie Ann and Madilyn Joan Roy, Joseph and Kiley Morrill and Colton and Andrew Crowley.

The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to Beacon Hospice of Lawrence for providing incredible care and compassion to our mom and our entire family. Your gentle support during such a difficult time brought us so much peace, and we will always be grateful for your kindness.

In Loving Memory of Richard Thomas

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Richard Thomas, a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was taken far too soon. Richard was a man defined by his strength, resilience, intelligence, and above all, his deeply caring heart.

Richard was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His generosity knew no limits, and his compassion touched the lives of so many. He lived his life putting others before himself, always willing to lend a hand, offer guidance, or simply be there when someone needed him most. To know Richard was to know loyalty and unconditional love. Above all else, Richard was devoted to his family. He dedicated his life to those he loved, and nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by them. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Haley and Mila Thomas, and a deeply cherished grandfather to his grandson, Richard Thomas, who brought immeasurable pride and happiness to his life. He is also lovingly survived by his mother, Wendy Johnson, whose love remained a constant source of strength throughout his life.

Richard found happiness in life’s simplest but most meaningful moments — spending time with his family, traveling, and escaping to his camp in the White Mountains, a place that brought him peace and comfort. Those moments created memories that his family will hold close forever. Richard was not only a dedicated family man, but a friend to all who knew him. His presence could light a room, his wisdom could comfort a troubled heart, and his love left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his time here was far too brief, the love Richard gave so freely will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He was deeply loved, and his absence is felt more than words can ever express. He will be forever loved, forever remembered, and overwhelmingly missed.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, May 31st from 1PM until 3PM followed by a funeral home chapel service at 3PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main street, Haverhill. Please visit www.comeaufuneral.com or Comeau Funeral Home on Facebook.
