At Arbor Vitae Behavioral Health, we believe mental health care should never stop at symptoms alone. Before assigning labels or diagnoses, we take time to understand the whole person — from cellular health and medical factors to emotional wellbeing, relationships, environment, and overall quality of life. 🌿

Many medical conditions can mimic or worsen mental health symptoms, which is why our team prioritizes comprehensive, evidence-based evaluations that look beyond the surface. Every client receives a thorough biopsychosocial assessment completed by our providers, allowing us to better understand the biological, psychological, and social factors impacting their health and daily functioning.

Our approach is rooted in whole-person care because healing is rarely one-dimensional. By addressing underlying contributors and treating the person as a whole, we can create more individualized, compassionate, and effective treatment plans that support long-term wellness and improved quality of life.

At Arbor Vitae, we are committed to helping individuals feel seen, heard, and fully cared for — mind, body, and life. 💙

Help us welcome Toby Dennert, MPS, LPC, to the team at Arbor Vitae! 🎉

Toby earned his master’s in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota and brings experience in residential, outpatient, and in-home settings. He uses a collaborative, goal-focused approach—drawing from CBT, solution-focused therapy, ART, and polyvagal-informed care—to support clients navigating substance use, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, and more.

He’s now scheduling therapy appointments for children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples! 🗓️💬 Call today for an appointment! Accepts most insurances.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him with a good book 📚, a podcast on a walk 🎧, or cheering on the Chicago Bears 🏈 (with lots of optimism!).
