Our Kid’s Club Summer Camp students went paddling with Lanikai Outrigger Canoe Club! They enjoyed a field trip day of art, dance, and outrigger canoeing. 🛶

Based in Redondo Beach, Lanikai Outrigger Canoe Club’s mission is to perpetuate Hawaiian culture through outrigger canoe racing and education in the community, and our students were able to try new skills in traditional dance and canoeing on the ocean. 🌊☀️

Thank you to Lanikai Outrigger Canoe Club for such a fun, educational day for our students. Field trips, hands-on education, and physical activity are important parts of Kid’s Club Summer Camp! We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds. ❤️

Earlier this month, Richstone Family Center celebrated our beloved community members, including donors and volunteers. Our impact is due to the commitment they have to our community.

Our Kid’s Club Summer Camp students visited the El Segundo Museum of Art in Lawndale! At the museum, students explored the gallery, enjoyed a drawing activity, and made their own prints.

We love seeing our students’ creativity and curiosity for art, and we are so grateful to the ESMoA team for making our field trip special.

Get ready for this year’s Endless Summer Beach Party! On August 29th, Richstone Family Center will bring together our community at the beach at King Harbor for a night of delicious food, live music, and a lively dance floor.

Our students are loving Summer Camp! Kid’s Club programming doesn’t stop when the school year ends, and our Kid’s Club staff and volunteers make sure that our students continue to learn, grow, and play all summer long. ♥️

Outdoor play is an important part of Summer Camp when students can work together, exercise, and engage in healthy competition. ⚽☀️

Kid’s Club Summer Camp has begun! This summer, our students can participate in and enjoy a variety of educational and exciting programming led by our Kid’s Club staff and volunteers.

Each year, Sandpiper volunteers facilitate Sandpipers Summer Art, and lead the students in art activities! This week, students decorated and flew their own kites. 🪁 They had fun expressing their creativity and running across the lawn to watch their kites soar! Thank you to Sandpipers for bringing joy to Summer Camp. ♥️

Last week, Richstone Family Center dedicated three trees in our garden in honor of community members that have helped our organization grow and thrive.

A tree was dedicated to Lynn and Larry Wolf in recognition of their many years of generous support, active volunteerism, and Larry’s dedicated service as a Richstone Board member.

The second tree was dedicated in loving memory of John Getzelman, a former Board member whose legacy continues through the John Getzelman Scholarship Fund. Over the past 20 years, the fund has helped nearly 40 individuals pursue educational opportunities and build brighter futures.

And, the garden courtyard honors RL and David Peters, long-time supporters and donors whose steadfast commitment including their recent challenge grant, has made it possible for Richstone to launch our new Community Care Initiative, expanding access to critical mental health and family support services.

We are deeply grateful for the support that these individuals have given RFC over the years, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to be a part of our journey to come.
