Some relationships begin with hospice care and grow into lasting friendships. 💙

Years ago, our Auburn Crest team cared for a husband whose wife was an extraordinary nurse/caregiver. When her mother also needed hospice, we had the privilege of caring for both—and our team quickly grew to love their whole family.

Eventually, they moved out of state. Her husband and mother later passed away, but the connections formed here continued.

This weekend, she invited Judy, our chaplain/bereavement counselor, to Washington for a visit as friends. While there, Judy reached out to JJ, a former Auburn Crest nurse who had helped care for the family and now lives in Washington. Together, they shared a sweet reunion.

This is part of the beauty of hospice: the people we care for become part of our hearts, and sometimes those bonds reach far beyond the time we spend providing care. Forever friends, forever Auburn Crest family.🦋
