Meet Lorena, one of Auburn Crest's palliative care nurse practitioners and one of the reasons we're able to offer a level of palliative care that's rare in North Idaho.

Lorena’s approach starts with something simple: clearing up a misconception that keeps too many people from getting support sooner. Palliative care and hospice are not the same thing.

In her words, palliative care is "for any age and any stage of disease." It provides an extra layer of support for people navigating serious illness in a way that honors the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
