The AIRR Tech Team took up their Red Hot Pokers to celebrate the inception of a new web page on the astrological symbolism of the planet Mars, which, because of its red colouring, is seen as a bloody, battle-tested warrior and therefore has a part to play in astrological divination and magical spell-work for military combat, athletic competition, the chastisement of enemies, and victory in career goals. Known as "the lesser malefic," Mars represents mayhem and murder as well as essential iron tools such as the pocket knife and the plow. The AIRR Tech Team took out their Spiritual and Cultural Lenses to examine the Anatomies of the Soul and Spirit as seen in various cultures and through the long history of religion and philosophy. This page describes a wide range of immortal (and mortal) intangible spirit essences, souls separated into both physical and spiritual elements, and the idea of multiple souls, group souls, and species functioning in concert! Miss Michaele wrote the page with contributions by Catherine Yronwode, Papa Newt, and Evan Lionhart. Catherine edited the text, then Papa Newt and Nagasiva Yronwode did proofreading and site-wide linking. Graphics are by Rogier van der Weyden, Richard Blair, Mateo Cerezo, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, an Unknown Artist, and an Unknown Photographer, all sourced and photo-edited by Nagasiva, Catherine, and Michaele. The AIRR Tech Team went into the woods today to adore The Lovers -- the seventh in our series of 22 informative web pages on the Tarot Trumps or Major Arcana. The card depicts Adam and Eve as a man and woman standing at the border of the Garden of Eden, with the flaming, 12-fruited Tree of Life behind the man and the apple-bearing Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil behind the woman, while overhead the Archangel Uriel may be seen. This trump is the embodiment of the zodiacal sign Gemini, the Twins, with Adam and Eve having been born of one body, and "made for each other" by God. But the card was not always thus, and its history and evolution tell a fascinating story of women's changing roles in society. Catherine Yronwode wrote the page with contributions by Papa Newt and Nagasiva Yronwode. The images are by Pamela Colman Smith, courtesy of Hoodoo Psychics, and Oswald Wirth, courtesy of Thom Rose, and were photo-edited by Nagasiva. The AIRR Tech Team picked up their styluses to sign off on a freshly-revised web page on Graphology, a means of determining personality traits, moral fiber, areas of strengths and weaknesses, talents, and physical health by examination of a person's handwriting. Handwritten papers can also be utilized as personal concerns in spell-casting, and as mementos of ancestral veneration. Catherine Yronwode wrote the page with contributions by Nagasiva Yronwode, ConjureMan, Papa Newt, and Deacon Millett. The AIRR Tech Team gathered in solemn conclave today to elect The Hierophant -- the sixth in our series of 22 informative web pages on the Tarot Trumps or Major Arcana. The card depicts the highest-ranking leader of the Catholic church, dressed in his robes of office, seated on a papal throne between two pillars, holding the triple-barred cross of his office, and, with his hand, making the traditional Catholic blessing gesture of benediction over two tonsured priests who kneel before him. In terms of divination, this card, allied with the zodiacal sign of Ta**us, symbolizes all things that are righteous and sacred, marriage, mercy and goodness, the releasing or binding of people or situations, opening and closing roads, a promotion, a degree in higher education, or a certification in a specialized course of study. Catherine Yronwode wrote the page with contributions by Papa Newt and Nagasiva Yronwode. The AIRR Tech Team put on their fineries to debut a new web page on Stolisomancy, the reading of character, intentions, health, and omens of events to come by noting the clothing of a person, either in person or through a photograph. Stolisomancers are known as garment readers, and they gather a great deal of information from the apparel of people who appear before them, as well as from clothes that have been sent to them for consideration, or photos of persons dressed in distinctive garb.
