A member of our Acadian family passed away this past weekend. He was a shining light to everyone who walked through the front door and loved on every single person he ever met. Tyler’s Celebration of Life / funeral will be this Saturday at 4pm at Park Valley Church here in Haymarket, VA. The viewing will be from 3-4pm prior to the service. I invite everyone this reaches to please join us and to share this invitation openly with everyone you know as we’d love to celebrate this hero properly. Not everyone is on Facebook, and we’ll certainly send this information out in several ways, but please help my family to spread the word. There will be a reception to follow as well.

Tyler’s organ donation was a complete success with 5 families across the region, and world, receiving the gift of life from Tyler’s ultimate altruistic character. In addition to these 5 major organs, many many many more were the beneficiaries of many other parts of the donation process.

We will continue to share more information as the days progress, but I wanted to send this invitation out as soon as I could to help people potentially be able to attend.

We are absolutely dumbfounded by the love, support, compassion, and kindness we’ve been given since this all began. I love yall so much. We are so blessed. We are so lucky to have yall in our lives.

God is so good. He will get us through this and His Glory has been a constant shining light through it all; we’ve seen Him everywhere.

As the week comes to an end, give yourself permission to slow down.

Rest. Laugh. Spend time with people who fill your cup. Do something that makes you feel like yourself again.

Taking care of your mental health is not just about getting through the hard days. It is also about making room for the good ones.

And when you need a little more support, we are here.

You are allowed to choose peace.

You do not have to carry every burden, solve every problem, or meet every expectation today.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is pause, reset, and take the next right step.

If you’ve been thinking about getting support, we’re accepting new patients and would be honored to walk alongside you.

Today, take a few minutes to take care of yourself.

Go for a walk. Put your phone down. Take a deep breath. Reach out to someone you trust.

Your mental health is worth investing in every day. And if you are ready for additional support, we are here to help.

Things people often say when they are struggling:

“I’m just tired.”
“I’ve been stressed lately.”
“I’m fine.”
“I just need to get through this week.”

Sometimes mental exhaustion does not look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like functioning on empty for too long.

Checking in with yourself matters.

Mental Health Awareness Month is not just about recognizing struggles. It is also about recognizing strength.

Growth happens in the small choices we make every day to care for ourselves, set boundaries, heal, and keep moving forward.

No matter where you are in your journey, there is hope, progress, and possibility ahead.

Not every struggle looks obvious from the outside.

Sometimes people are carrying stress, anxiety, exhaustion, or sadness while still showing up every day with a smile.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, let this be your reminder to check in with yourself and give yourself permission to seek support when needed.

And if you have been thinking about reaching out or asking questions, our messages are always open.

05/11/2026

Your mind needs care just like your body does.

Rest matters. Boundaries matter. Talking about what you are carrying matters.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, take a moment to check in with yourself, not just your schedule.

Small steps toward better mental health still count.
