I had the great opportunity to offer education regarding post partum mental health for the amazing Becoming a Mom prenatal education program. This program is offered all across Kansas and multiple times throughout the year.
When we welcome a new baby into the world, so much attention naturally goes toward that precious little life. We ask how the baby is sleeping, eating, and growing. But one question I always encourage people to ask is:
« How is mom doing? »
Postpartum mental health matters just as much as physical recovery. Becoming a parent is one of the biggest life transitions a person can experience. It’s beautiful, but it can also be exhausting, overwhelming, and incredibly vulnerable. There is no shame in struggling. Remember This
Asking for help is not failing, it is parenting.
Your baby does not need a perfect parent.
Your baby needs a parent who is supported, cared for, and willing to reach out when things feel too heavy to carry alone🤍
🤰Becoming a Mom program is coming up again! Our first one will be May 21st, be sure to sign up! When you attend 4 classes you get a free portable crib or infant playmat, and every class you will receive an incentive.
