It was a great opportunity to connect with our community, meet neighbors and local businesses, and celebrate everything that makes Hayward such a special place. For more than 11 years, Aziz has been a valued member of the St. Rose Hospital family, serving in our IT Department with professionalism, dedication, and a positive attitude. Known for being pleasant, helpful, kind, and always willing to lend a hand, Aziz makes a difference every day for our employees and patients. St. Rose is truly a family affair for Aziz and his wife, Fawzia Sediqi, who has dedicated more than 30 years of service to our hospital. For the second consecutive year, St. Rose Hospital has been recognized by Becker's Hospital Review as one of only 405 hospitals nationwide to achieve a Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSI) rate of zero, based on the latest CMS healthcare-associated infections data. This achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of our physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to providing the safest, highest-quality care for our patients every day. Last year, only 338 hospitals earned this distinction, making this recognition even more meaningful. Congratulations and thank you to our dedicated team for continuing to put patient safety first. We are proud of this remarkable accomplishment!

St. Rose Hospital is proud to host a Backpack and School Supply Drive to help students at Glassbrook Elementary School start the new school year ready to learn. Donation boxes will be located throughout the hospital, and supplies may also be dropped off at the Main Admitting Office through July 31st. Every donation, big or small, helps make a difference. St. Rose Hospital is proud to celebrate George Dib, a Mt. Eden High School graduate and FACES for the Future alumnus at St. Rose Hospital who volunteered tirelessly from 2015 through 2020. George recently earned his Master of Science degree and is now a student doctor at Touro University, on track to become either a neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon. George has always been known for his caring heart, generous spirit, and dedication to helping others. Watching him grow from a young volunteer into a future physician is truly inspiring. Great things happen at St. Rose Hospital because of GREAT people — and George is one of them. Congratulations, George! We can’t wait to see all the lives you will impact in the years ahead.
