💜 Happy Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month! 💜

A lot of people think sonographers just take pictures, especially when it comes to pregnancy ultrasounds, but there’s so much more to it than that!

We study anatomy, physiology, pathology, ultrasound physics, and so much more. We learn about the entire body, not just babies despite popular belief! There’s a lot of education, training, stress, tears, celebrations, and tons clinical experience behind those images.

At La Bella Belly, I’m proud to be a certified sonographer and to bring that knowledge and experience into what I do every day. It's not something I take lightly whatsoever. While we love helping families see their little ones, there’s a whole lot more to our profession than what you see on the screen. 💜

Here’s to all the sonographers out there! 🥂🫶🏼

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. 💕🩵

there’s an empty chair no one else notices…

but i do.

there’s a birthday that never made it onto the calendar…

but i still remember it.

there are first words, first steps, holidays, school pictures, and entire milestones that only exist in my imagination.

that’s the part of pregnancy and infant loss people don’t always understand.

you don’t just grieve the day you lost them.

you grieve every “should have been” that comes after.

every family photo with someone missing.

every holiday that feels a little incomplete.

every year that quietly reminds you how old they would be.

we remember in October.

but the truth is, parents of loss remember every day.

because love doesn’t end when a heartbeat does.

and sometimes the absence of someone so small can take up an enormous amount of space.

I KNOW you can relate 🤣 Who else's husband could sleep through:
1. A tornado that takes the whole house
2. A jet engine taking off 10 feet from his pillow
3. A freight train crashing into the house at 3am
4. A chainsaw being started on his nightstand
5. A marching band doing their halftime routine in the hallway

Yet mom here's one louder than usual breath from the baby, and she's WIDE AWAKE (usually for hours) 🙃

- Must be 25+ weeks (28–32 weeks recommended)
- Approximately 25-minute scan
- 3 printed 3D black & white images
- 1 printed color 3D image
- Full color photo gallery emailed to you

Recommended cutoff is 37 weeks. Redo sessions, if needed, are an additional $35.
