Beautiful day for a hike. Also peak tick season. 🫠

Here’s what makes ticks so sneaky: the bite is painless, the tick is tiny, and most people never see it. Then weeks later the fatigue and brain fog show up and nobody connects it back to that hike.

Ticks are most active May–August, the exact stretch everyone’s finally outside. So this is the season to have a plan, not a panic.

After a bite, the move is to support your immune system early instead of waiting for symptoms. That’s why I made ASAB.

Save this before your next hike. 🄾

Men report Lyme more than women, and it’s not biology, it’s behavior. More time outdoors, fewer tick checks, longer wait before anyone sees a doctor.

So this one’s for the hikers. And honestly, for the people who love them and do the worrying.

The kit that actually belongs in the bag šŸ‘‡

🪶 Tick remover: fine-tipped, pulls straight up without squeezing the tick. Not your fingers, not a lit match.

šŸ‘• Permethrin-treated clothing: treat the gear, not just the skin. The step most people skip.

šŸ”¦ Headlamp: for the tick check you keep skipping: hairline, behind the knees, waistband.

🧹 A lint roller or light-colored clothing: makes a tick easy to spot before it ever attaches.

šŸ«™ A sealable bag: save the tick if you’re bitten. ID matters for what comes next.

🌿 ASAB: ā€œAs Soon As you Are Bit.ā€ Physician-formulated immune support for right after exposure, so your body isn’t starting from zero.

Early support matters most in the window when most people do nothing.

Save this for the next time someone tells you Lyme isn’t real. šŸ˜…

After 20 years in practice (and living with Lyme myself) I’ve heard every version of every square on this card.

From patients who spent years collecting diagnoses before anyone looked deeper. And honestly? From my own experience navigating a system that wasn’t built for this disease.

The Western blot misses a significant portion of Lyme cases. ā€œTwo weeks of doxyā€ doesn’t account for co-infections, biofilm, or a terrain that’s been compromised for years. And ā€œyour symptoms are too widespread to be one thingā€ is actually a clinical red flag, not a reason to stop looking.

Widespread, shifting symptoms that don’t fit a tidy box? That’s Lyme. That’s Bartonella. That’s what happens when a chronic infection disrupts immune function, the gut, the nervous system, and mitochondrial energy all at once.

You were never the problem. The framework was.

Don’t take these together …unless you actually want to heal.

The 3Bs Bundle was built for the patients who have tried everything, and are finally ready to address Borrelia, Babesia, and Bartonella with botanicals that are physician-formulated, clinically dosed, and sourced to the standard I hold for my own patients.

Ten tinctures. Three infections. One comprehensive protocol.

This isn’t a supplement stack. It’s a system.

Comment 3BS below and I’ll send you the free clinical guide that explains exactly what each of the 3 Bs looks like, and why addressing all three is often the missing piece. šŸ’š

If your version of ā€œhandling itā€ looks a lot like researching co-infections at 2am and asking everyone if they saved the tick, same.

This isn’t something I say to be provocative. I say it because I’ve seen the consequences:

Most practitioners who have Lyme patients in their practice were never formally trained to treat them.

Medical school doesn’t teach it. Continuing education rarely covers it. And the patients who need help most end up in a revolving door of referrals and dismissals.
I built the Lyme Bytes Symposium because I believe the best thing we can do for patients is educate their practitioners.

Two days. Deep clinical content. Lyme, co-infections, terrain protocols, and the latest in what actually works.
If this is your patient population (even part of it) this room will change how you practice.

Long COVID is one of the most complex post-infectious syndromes we’ve seen in modern medicine.

And if you’ve been living with it, you already know how isolating it can be. Especially when tests come back ā€˜normal.’

Researchers are actively studying the mechanisms: viral persistence, immune dysregulation, vascular inflammation, and autonomic dysfunction are all being explored.

What I find especially interesting (and what I’ll be discussing more) is how similar these pathways are to what we see in chronic Lyme disease.

Different trigger. But often, strikingly similar biology.

You’re not making it up. This is real. And it deserves real investigation.

Save this if Long COVID has affected you or someone you love. šŸ’š

ā€œMy child disappeared overnight.ā€

That’s one of the most heartbreaking things a parent has ever said to me in my office.

One day their kid was fine. The next: sudden OCD, rage episodes, anxiety, tics, food restriction.

This is the hallmark of PANS and PANDAS. And it is NOT a psychiatric disorder.

It’s an immune response. The infection triggers the immune system to produce antibodies that attack parts of the brain, specifically the basal ganglia.

When we treat the infection and reduce the inflammation, those children often come back.

Parents: if this sounds familiar, please don’t stop advocating. There ARE answers.
