Cemetery volunteer Johnny Hill raised a new flag today. The old one was shredded and wrapped around the flagpole. Hedley received .25 rain last night and we are hoping some more comes our way soon. We are happy to just be in double digit temperatures today instead of triple digits!

Our cemetery volunteer, aka Johnny Hill, put up a new flag for Independence Day. We have had nice rains the last couple of days and everything is pretty and green.
Have a happy and safe July 4th weekend!

Adamson Lane American Legion Post 287 held a Memorial Day ceremony today. It was well attended and everyone heard an inspiring talk by Jackie Bell. If you don't know him, just read about his accomplishments in the attached program.
I apologize to Chance Fox for not getting his photo. He plays Taps at the end of the program and it is always a fitting and sobering end to the ceremony.
Please consider a donation to Adamson Lane Post 287. The flag holders that they put on all veterans graves have increased to $100 each. These men have been faithful to prepare two programs per year for a long time and it would be fitting to lend them a helping hand. Their address is PO Box 636, Clarendon, TX 79226
