The TheraTouch SW1 is Richmar’s first radial pressure wave device. Tapering. This doesn’t have to take a lot of time. You want to save some energy for race day but also keep some training so your muscles don’t get stale. You may decrease mileage a little but don’t forget to do a little speed work to keep some pop in your legs.

First training tip for DFMI!

Strides are a great place to start to work on leg speed in a forgiving way. 5 reps of 30 sec push (7/10 effort) with 1 min recovery. Bonus if you run them on a gradual downhill to really work that leg speed. These are easy to add to any run so feel free to find a way to make them work for you.

We could not be more excited to introduce our newest PT…everyone…meet Molly.

Molly Gathman, DPT
Molly grew up in North Dakota and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mary before completing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2025. Her own experiences with sports injuries sparked her passion for physical therapy and helping others return to the activities they love.
Molly values the meaningful relationships she builds with her patients and finds joy in watching them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and conditions but has a special passion for pediatrics. During her schooling, Molly gained clinical experiences in orthopedics, acute care, and pediatric settings, which continues to shape her well-rounded approach to patient care. Outside of the clinic, Molly enjoys staying active and spending time with family. She loves traveling, skiing, working out and relaxing at the lake.
