Dominic Joseph Worchesik passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 72. He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory and the moments they shared with him.
Dominic found joy in the simple things in life, especially fishing and hunting alongside his friends, brothers, and nephews. These times outdoors brought opportunities to share stories, laughter, and companionship with the people he loved. The memories made during those days will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Family was an important part of Dominic’s life. His siblings were a constant presence throughout his journey, sharing in life’s moments and standing beside him through life’s challenges. In his final days, they showed their love in a particularly meaningful way, standing in the gap as his health declined and surrounding him with care, support, and family. Their devotion was a beautiful expression of the lifelong bond they shared.
Dominic is survived by his daughter, Marie Elizabeth Worchesik, and his beloved grandchildren, Oliver and Olivia Mireles, and his dog Oreo.
Dominic was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mary Worchesik, and his brother, Felix Worchesik, and wife, Thelma, survives him. He is also survived by his brother, Sylvester Worchesik, and wife, Lillian; his sister, Theresa Bilski, whose husband, Peter, preceded her in death; his sister, Hedwig Konieczny, and her husband, Raymond; his late sister, Lillian Konieczny, and her late husband, Clement; his sister, Frances Majewski, and her husband, David; his sister, Dorothy Meleski, and her husband, Benard; and his sister, Florence Browne, and her husband, Malcolm.
He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will continue to hold his memory close to their hearts.
As family and friends gather to honor Dominic’s life, may they find comfort in their faith, strength in one another, and peace in the memories that will never fade. Though his family will deeply feel his absence, the love he shared, the friendships he treasured, and the memories created with those closest to him will remain.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.

Visitation: Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm at McWilliams Funeral Home, Hempstead. Funeral Service: Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, Hempstead with burial following at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hempstead with Father Xavier Bilavendiran officiating under the direction of McWilliams Funeral Home.
