Shades on, summer mode activated! Our residents had a blast designing their own one-of-a-kind sunglasses and showing off their creative style. We’re officially ready for some fun in the sun!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Arab American Ladies League of Las Vegas and Mayesh Wholesale Florist for including our residents in their beautiful Flowers With a Purpose project.

The thoughtfully created floral arrangements were personally delivered and shared with some of our dear residents. Our residents especially enjoyed spending time visiting with the wonderful women and young ladies who delivered the flowers. The conversations, smiles, and laughter shared made the experience even more meaningful, and seeing the happiness on our residents’ faces was truly priceless.

Gestures like these are a beautiful reminder of the importance of community and the incredible difference a simple act of kindness can make.

From all of us at Oasis, thank you for sharing your time, talents, and generous hearts with our residents. Your kindness brought beauty and joy into their day, and we are truly grateful to have been included in such a beautiful project.

A special thank you to Laurie and our friends at Nathan Adelson Hospice for the beautiful flower donations!

These lovely blooms were donated as a thoughtful gesture to brighten the days of our residents, and they certainly do just that. Our residents always enjoy the cheerful colors and fresh flowers, and we’re grateful for the smiles, beauty, and extra sunshine they bring to our community.

Moreen Millare is a truly special part of the Oasis Nursing & Rehabilitation of Green Valley family. As a volunteer, Moreen brings kindness, compassion, and a genuine warmth to every interaction with our residents. Inspired by her late grandmother, Moreen finds meaningful ways to honor her memory by spending time with residents, listening to their stories, sharing conversations, and bringing smiles to their days.

For Moreen, the most meaningful moments are often the simplest ones — the laughter, the conversations, and the connections that remind her how much of an impact kindness and compassion can have. She shares that she is always grateful for how warmly Kristy and the entire Oasis team welcome her, making Oasis feel like more than just a place to volunteer, but a place that feels like family.

As Moreen begins her next chapter in nursing school, we are incredibly excited to see where her passion for caring for others takes her. While we will miss her smiling face and caring heart around Oasis, we are so thankful for the time, compassion, and joy she shared with our residents and team.

Thank you, Moreen, for being such a special part of our Oasis family. We wish you all the best as you continue your journey toward becoming a nurse!

Honoring those who have given so much. Each year, we hold our Veterans Honor Walk during our 4th of July celebrations to recognize the incredible residents who have served our country. We are forever grateful for their courage, dedication, and the stories they share with us.

What a fabulous 4th of July celebration at Oasis Nursing & Rehabilitation of Green Valley!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening. Between the beautiful weather, great company, and spectacular fireworks, it was truly a night to remember.

A special thank-you to our amazing community partners who helped make the celebration possible—Laurie from Nathan Adelson Hospice for the delicious cookies, Ben from Compassion Care Hospice for the pizza and smiles, and Medical Transport Company for donating Gatorade and chips. Thank you as well to Mike from Medical Transport Company for joining us and helping serve our guests.

We're also grateful to our department heads for preparing a delicious picnic dinner, Administrator Candy and Social Services Director Meghan for serving snow cones, and Got Groove for providing the patriotic music throughout the evening.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so memorable. We can't wait to celebrate with you again next year! ❤️🤍💙

Continuing our CNA Week spotlight series at Oasis Nursing & Rehab of Green Valley, we are proud to recognize Irma Cortez, celebrating over 35 years as a CNA and 22 years of dedicated service in our building.

Irma was inspired to become a CNA by her desire to provide compassionate care. She enjoys connecting with residents, having meaningful conversations, and making them smile each day. One of her most memorable experiences is building a lasting friendship with a resident’s family member, a bond that continues even across state lines. Her greatest accomplishment is knowing she has helped make residents happy and supported their needs. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling. She hopes residents remember her as reliable, helpful, and someone who made them feel special and cared for. Her advice to new CNAs is simple: be patient. Irma believes the key to a strong team is teamwork.

Thank you, Irma, for your decades of compassion, dedication, and the care you continue to give our residents every day.
