What an absolutely lovely video. A spectacular abishekam, which is a cleansing of the murti (statue) complimented with a beautiful chant.

This is Venkatesha, and aspect of Viṣṇu.

I attended this temple on Kṛṣṇa’s birthday, when I was in Bangalore in 2024.

Recommended way to spend 5 minutes.

In Hinduism the statues aren’t worshipped, rather the deity is called forth and then asked to inhabit the murti and that is what is being honored.

What is it to be a conscious and awakened human in a modern world? For me, it is to honor and respect the directions, the elements, the Earth and the celestials above with each and every breath. It is to dance and dream the world into being. It is to remember, to listen with an open mind, and to understand the Universe enlivens everything. It is to honor the past and live in the now, while co-creating a better future.

These thoughts come to me, as I focus on the sacredness of Spring. Yesterday, on the Equinox, I created a flower essence with Spring Beauty (pictured) and began two batches of Florida water made from spring wildflowers. It is and feels sacred to work with the aliveness of each season.

Happy Spring.

Blessed Ostara all.

Today is the March or Northward Equinox, which occurs when the Sun crosses the celestial equator, traveling in a northward direction. For the Northern Hemisphere, the March Equinox signifies the start of Spring. For the Southern Hemisphere it signifies the start of Autumn.
The March Equinox occurs the moment the Sun enters the sign of Aries, which is the first sign of the zodiac, therefore the today is the start of the astrological year.
The March Equinox is also known as Ostara. The name for Ostara comes from the ancient celebration of Eostre, a Germanic goddess of Spring associated with rabbits and chicken eggs. It is from her name that the words East and Easter are derived. Ostara represents new beginnings, fresh hope, and renewal.

A blessed Winter Solstice to all!

At 9:03 AM Central, the Sun entered Capricorn. Winter has officially begun.

We are two days into a Moon cycle that began with a conjunction with the Galactic Center. Additionally, the Winter Solstice can be seen as the moment the seed for the coming year is sown. The alignment of the Sagittarius New Moon and the Galactic Center with the Solstice heralds benevolent change.

New Moons are most often associated with new beginnings, however, because this New Moon occurred just before the Solstice at 28° of Sagittarius, it also signifies a completion that creates the way for new beginnings.

Manifesting tips
This is the first day after the New Moon with clean astrological energy according to the Vedic panchang, which is what I use to plan all of my magical projects, due to its high level of accuracy. If you want to practice Solstice manifestation work, do it this evening between 4:37 PM and 11:19 PM Central, due to two simultaneously auspicious yogas and a lack of inauspicious activity. It’ll be blessed.

Please note the panchang varies by location. This calculation is for the Middle Tennessee area.

I wish for the Solstice to bring you love, peace and good fortune in the coming year!

Blessings

After using SiO Beauty’s silicone facial patches, I have decided they aren’t for me. They are supposed to be resuable for up to ten times. The smile patches only fit correctly for one night, and the one for the forehead lasted for three. They’re supposed to be used nightly. The combo smile, forehead and neck pack is $58. That’s $580 per month, if each pack is used for three days.

The effects lasted for a couple of hours and they don’t retrain your facial muscles like Smoothies and Toute Nuit and so they are likely to only ever last for a few hours, even with continued use. I do think they could be beneficial if used just before an event or photo shoot.

Looking forward to delving into the facial patches that retrain the facial muscles.

Trying out SiO Beauty’s silicone facial patches as a natural alternative to Botox. I’ve never tried Botox or fillers. The silicone compresses and hydrates the skin.

My skin felt and looked very smooth this morning.

I’ll be comparing them to additional facial patches, including the kinds that retrain your facial muscles. Looking forward to sharing my quest to find the right facial patches for me.

December’s Astrological Highlights

The Gemini Full Moon is on the 4th, highlighting conversation, communication and learning. Gemini is an open minded, intelligent sign that loves information. Read a book, sign up for a class or have a conversational night with your friends at a cafe.

Neptune stations from retrograde to direct on the 10th, after five months of helping us to quietly look within for spirituality, redemption and compassion. Perhaps you’ve found you are your saving grace. During Neptune’s seven months of direct motion, try to remember a well of magic, truth and light is inside, all you need to do to access it is look within.

Mercury enters Sagittarius on the 11th, expanding conversations and bringing in philosophical view points. Mercury governs communication, the mind and short distance travel, and Sagittarius is the sign of the optimistic adventurer. While this transit is fun for travel, try to remember to have two way conversations.

Mars enters Capricorn on the 15th, a sign in which he is exalted. Mars is linked to what motivates us and how we go about getting what we want. Mars in Capricorn is efficient and diligent. Use this time well. Start the tasks, do the work, create the foundation. Your efforts will be rewarded.

The Sagittarius New Moon is on the 19th. This is an excellent time to plant manifesting seeds for foreign travel and higher learning. Sagittarius is one of my favorite signs, as it’s simply jovial. Use this coming Moon cycle to plan a journey or embark upon a higher path.

The Sun enters Capricorn at the moment of the Winter Solstice on the 21st. This is a good time to align with the energy of nature and honor the Sun. Remember, the Sun lights up Earth and is needed for life to thrive. How are you grateful for the Sun? In what ways are you thankful for Winter? Gratitude is the keyword here.

Venus enters Capricorn on the 24th, which can add the desire for structure and commitment in relationships. Commitments made during this transit are likelier to last longer.

Pictured is Blue Topaz, December’s most popular birthstone.

Within the past five days, both Saturn and Mercury stationed from retrograde* to direct, and Venus left Scorpio for Sagittarius, greatly lightening the energy.

Saturn Stationed Direct on the 27th
Saturn is the planet associated with time, karma, self discipline and limitations. He is a boundary and brings structure. Saturn’s retrograde brought up karmic themes for review and internalized his effects. It’s possible that during the past four months, your boundaries came from within. Saturn’s direct motion can help you accomplish tasks and move forward with your career, as long as you put in the right amount of effort.

Mercury Stationed Direct on the 29th
Mercury rules communication, how we process information, the immediate environment, and domestic travel. Mercury is retrograde three times per year and these retrogrades can affect everything he rules, including electronics and cars. While the miscommunications from the past few weeks are clearing, it is best to wait to sign contracts, purchase a car or an expensive appliance, as the retrograde’s energy will linger until the 17th.

Venus entered Sagittarius on the 30th
Venus, the planet of love, beauty and art, has left Scorpio for Sagittarius. This brings some relief to relationships, for although Scorpio is passionate and transformative, it can be tumultuous for romance. Venus in Sagittarius is optimistic, adventurous and fun, but it can bring a desire for openness in relationships or the want for romantic freedom.

*A retrograde occurs when a planet appears to travel backwards.
