🌼 Celebrating Our Latest DAISY Award Winner, Kristen Jones! 🌼

Please join us in congratulating Kristen Jones, an incredible ER nurse at TriStar Hendersonville, on receiving our latest DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses! 💛

We recently had the honor of pausing with our Emergency Department team to recognize Kristen for the compassionate care and unwavering patient advocacy that made a lasting impact on one patient and their family.

Kristen received a heartfelt nomination from a patient's family member who shared how she went above and beyond to care for their loved one during an ER visit. After months of unanswered questions and ongoing health concerns, Kristen's dedication and advocacy helped the family finally get answers and begin putting the pieces together.

Throughout their time in our ER, Kristen showed incredible kindness, compassion and a genuine commitment to making sure their loved one felt heard and cared for. The family expressed their deep gratitude, thanking Kristen for not only being an exceptional nurse, but also for making such a meaningful difference during a difficult time.

Kristen, thank you for being a voice for your patients, leading with compassion and showing what it truly means to care like family. We're so proud to have you on our team, and we couldn't think of a more deserving recognition! 💛🌼

Breast cancer screening isn't one-size-fits-all. Your personal breast cancer risk can help guide what's right for you.

Your age, family health history and other breast cancer risk factors can all play a role in when to begin screening. For people at average risk, screening mammograms often start at age 40, but your doctor can help you decide what’s right for you based on your health history and personal risk. 💕 On Fridays, we wear PINK! 💕

Our TriStar Hendersonville team proudly wore pink on Friday in recognition of National Mammography Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀

While wearing pink is a fun way to show our support, the message behind it is an important one: Early detection saves lives!

💕 About 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.

💕 Mammograms can detect breast cancer before a lump can be felt or other symptoms appear.

💕 Regular mammograms can help find breast cancer earlier, when treatment is more likely to be successful.

💕 Women should talk with their healthcare provider about beginning regular mammogram screenings at age 40, or earlier depending on their personal risk factors.

We're proud of our colleagues for coming together to raise awareness and encourage our community to prioritize their health. 💗

Have you scheduled your mammogram? Don't put it off! Take a moment to care for yourself and encourage the women you love to do the same.

“I wouldn’t be here without the folks at this ER."

When Thomas Covey began experiencing unusual chest tightness, he knew he shouldn’t ignore it. He thought of his neighbor, Emily Henry, a nurse at TriStar Lovers Lane ER.

There was a problem: Thomas didn’t know where the ER was, so he called his neighbor.

Hundreds of miles away at her bridal shower, Emily gave Thomas the address. That phone call launched Thomas's journey through three TriStar Health facilities, ultimately saving his life.

Thomas received emergency care at TriStar Lovers Lane ER before being transferred to TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital for advanced cardiac care. When physicians determined he needed emergency heart surgery, his care team coordinated a transfer to TriStar Centennial Medical Center for a quadruple bypass surgery.

After recovering, Thomas returned to TriStar Lovers Lane ER with family and treats in hand to say thank you! ❤

In Thomas's time of need TriStar Health's connected system of care was ready and equipped to respond with lifesaving emergency care.

This weekend, colleagues from across TriStar Health came together to support heart health in the communities we’re proud to serve. ❤️

With participation from all of our Nashville-area TriStar Health facilities, our teams raised more than $110,000 for the American Heart Association — helping support its work to improve cardiovascular health and save lives.

A special shoutout to our colleagues at TriStar Horizon Medical Center, who brought the celebration home to Dickson by hosting their first Heart Walk at the hospital. We’re proud to see our colleagues showing up for healthier communities across Middle Tennessee.

Thank you to everyone who walked, donated and supported this important cause!

For many people with blood cancer or other serious blood disorders, a blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant can offer hope — and it often starts with a donor.

According to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), most patients who need a transplant don’t have a fully matched donor in their family and rely on NMDP (formerly Be The Match) to help find one. NMDP ℠ is a global nonprofit leader in cell therapy that helps save the lives of patients with blood cancers and disorders.

As part of HCA Healthcare, we're proud to support this life-saving work through the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network — one of the nation's leading providers of unrelated bone marrow donor transplants in the U.S. Each year, this extensive network helps connect tens of thousands of patients with the care they need.

You could be someone’s match. Learn more and join the registry at https://bit.ly/4dv7dUz.

"I am here because of what your team did."

In June, Pastor Michael Peasall arrived at the TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center emergency department experiencing a massive heart attack. His care team quickly recognized how serious his condition was and rushed him to the cardiac cath lab, where they discovered five blocked coronary arteries.

Every minute mattered. Michael received an emergency balloon angioplasty to restore blood flow and stabilize, giving him the time he needed to safely reach TriStar Centennial Medical Center for quintuple bypass surgery.

Two weeks later, Michael returned to TriStar Hendersonville to personally thank the cath lab team.

For Michael, having lifesaving heart care close to home made all the difference. At TriStar Health, we cover all aspects of heart health, and our connected network of care means a smooth transition between our facilities to get the care you need.

“Today are we lucky to be here because of the people who step up when we need them the most."

Nearly three months after a devastating taco truck explosion changed their lives, Tim and Tiffany McPherson returned to thank many of the people who helped care for them.

On June 4, the TNT Tacos owners were seriously injured when their food truck exploded. Both suffered severe burns and were airlifted to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where their recovery included surgery and specialized burn care.

Their reunion at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County brought together first responders, healthcare professionals and members of the teams involved in their care — an example of the collaboration that helps connect patients with the right care when every moment matters.

The gathering was especially meaningful as TriStar Skyline celebrates five years of specialized burn care. Supported by a state-designated Level I Trauma Center, the multidisciplinary burn program brings together specialists who support patients across Middle Tennessee through treatment and recovery.

For Tim and Tiffany, the day was an opportunity to reconnect with and thank many of the people who played a role in their journey. 💙
