Dr. Jason had a great time representing Active Sports Therapy at Indian Lake Elementary Career Day.

The students got to try several return-to-play style tests we use to help young athletes safely recover from injury, including single-leg balance with eyes closed, core endurance, wall sit endurance, and quick multi-sensory reaction challenges.

We also had a special guest join the fun, Dr. Hulme’s friend and colleague Tempo, Nashville’s best mascot!

An awesome day teaching kids how sports therapy uses baseline testing to better understand recovery, readiness, and performance.

Cassie and Dr. Jason spent this morning at Liberty Creek High School helping with mock interviews for their senior healthcare classes.

It was incredible to see these students show up dressed professionally, handle pressure, and share their “why” behind pursuing various roles in healthcare. We’ve had several Liberty Creek students rotate through Active Sports Therapy, and it’s been awesome to watch some of them choose a path toward chiropractic and rehab because of that experience.

Big shoutout to Melissa Baker and Scott Wietecha getting to see them crushing it at LCHS as well. We love opportunities like this to give back and support the next generation 💪

Year two with NSC is off to an incredible start.
We are proud to see Dr. Hulme continuing his role with Nashville SC for another season.
It is an incredible honor for Active Sports Therapy to support the medical team at the professional level.

Last night, Dr. Hulme was able to bring Dr. Jessica and Dr. Ryan to serve on the stretcher crew for Miami during the CONCACAF tournament. In the previous round, Dr. Jordan and Dr. Joel joined the stretcher crew for Ottawa to support Dr. Hulme.

It is a huge blessing to see NSC trust the team at Active Sports Therapy to serve at this level.

A big thank you to Rob, Dr. Sullivan, Luis, Jeff and B.J. for the continued support. Great leadership from the top down, and we are grateful to be a small part of it. ⚽️

At this stage, female athletes must rebuild more than muscle. We are restoring single leg strength, reactive stability, and planned cutting mechanics, but only once strength benchmarks are being met. That progression matters.

Today Jillian finished her primary strength work and moved into controlled return to practice drills. This phase is critical. It bridges the gap between rehab and real sport. It is where confidence is rebuilt under supervision and movement quality is refined.

Every step is tracked. Limb symmetry. Force production. Balance. Coordination. Nothing is left to guesswork.

Rolling over in bed should not feel impossible.
Pregnancy changes the mechanics in ways most people never expect.
And even good cues can sometimes create the wrong movement pattern.

Back pain during pregnancy, especially when turning over in bed, can be brutal. Anna-Vija had been coached by her pelvic floor physical therapist on rollover techniques to reduce strain. She tried to follow those cues exactly, but even though the idea was solid, the way her body interpreted those cues created a completely different pattern. Instead of relief, it kept driving the same overuse pain in her low back.

This is where coaching matters. Here Dr. Jason is walking her through the exact strategy to avoid loading the irritated tissue when she turns. Pregnancy shifts posture, core engagement, and movement coordination, so even a small adjustment in technique can make a huge difference. 💪

When you know how to move around the irritated structures you protect the back, reduce symptoms, and sleep better with less pain. 🔥
