🌺🍹 Tiki Time at Hometown! 🍹🌺

Our residents had a little taste of the tropics today with our very own Tiki Bar! 🏝️🌴 They enjoyed the cutest drinks, lots of smiles, and a fun afternoon soaking up those island vibes! 😎🌺

A huge THANK YOU to Mary with Concho Hearts Hospice for bringing the Tiki Bar and helping us make today extra special! 🍹🩷

✋💙 Happy Left Handers Day! 💙✋

Today our residents put their skills to the test with a Left-Handed Challenge! 😄 They had to complete a variety of fun tasks using ONLY their left hand—including stacking coins into a tower, writing their name, drawing a smiley face, buttoning and unbuttoning a jacket, drawing cards, tossing pom-poms into a cup, folding paper, moving pom-poms from one cup to another using a spoon, and more!

It was definitely harder than it looked! 😂 Some of us discovered just how much we rely on our dominant hand!

We had lots of laughs, a little friendly competition, and plenty of determination! 🏆👏

Way to go, everyone! You all left your mark! ✋😉

🍌🍨 Banana Split Fun! 🍨🍌
Our residents had a sweet time in Cooking Class today making their very own banana splits! 😋🍓🍫🍒
They got to choose their favorite toppings and create the perfect sundae—because everything tastes better when you make it yourself! ❤️
Lots of smiles, laughter, and of course… plenty of deliciousness! 🍌🍦

🍓🫐This morning our residents had a wonderful time enjoying a delicious parfait bar filled with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and all the tasty toppings! Everyone had fun creating their own unique parfaits, and they were just as beautiful as they were delicious.
A very special thank you to Mary Brown with Concho Hearts Hospice for bringing this wonderful treat and spending time with our residents. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to all of us. We truly appreciate everything you do to help make our days extra special! ❤️

Today we celebrated National Root Beer Float Day with a fun float bar! 🍦🥤 Our residents enjoyed creating their own delicious floats by choosing from several different soda combinations and ice cream. From classic root beer floats to other tasty favorites, everyone had a chance to make a sweet treat just the way they liked it. It was a fun afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and delicious memories!
A huge thank you to Kimberly with Hospice of Wichita Falls for bringing the amazing float bar and helping make this special day so much fun for our residents. We truly appreciate your kindness and support! ❤️

Sweet memories were made in Cooking Class! 🍓🍰 Our residents had a wonderful time creating their own strawberry shortcakes, layering fresh strawberries, fluffy cake, and whipped topping just the way they liked it. The smiles were just as sweet as the treats! ❤️

Today we celebrated Christmas in July at Hometown with an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and holiday cheer! 🎄☀️

Our residents got creative by painting adorable reindeer, enjoyed delicious fruit and cake cups, and had a blast playing a Christmas gift exchange game filled with smiles and surprises. We even had a special visit from a Tropical Gingerbread Lady, who brought even more fun and festive spirit to our celebration! It may be July, but the Christmas magic was definitely alive today! ❤️🎁🎅
A special thank you to Melissa with Complete Hospice for helping us put this wonderful event together. We truly appreciate your support and everything you do for our residents!

🚀🌙 Happy National Moon Day from Hometown Health & Rehab! 🌙🚀

Today our residents put their skills to the test during our Space Camp Challenge! They completed four fun, space-themed missions:

🌕 Foil Moon Rocks – stacking moon rocks as high as possible without them toppling over. 🚀 Ring Toss Rocket Launch – aiming rings onto our rocket ships. ✨ Pom Pom Space Transfer – using only a straw to move a "space traveler" across the galaxy. ☄️ Meteor Scoop – racing against the clock to scoop as many cotton ball meteors into a bucket as possible using only two plastic spoons.

These hands-on challenges weren't just fun—they also encouraged coordination, balance, concentration, problem-solving, and fine motor skills. We had lots of smiles, laughter, and friendly competition as everyone reached for the stars! 🌟💙

Nothing says summer quite like homemade ice cream! 🍓🍦

Our residents had a wonderful time during Cooking Class making homemade strawberry and vanilla ice cream. Everyone took turns churning the ice cream the old-fashioned way, and with every turn of the handle came stories and sweet memories from years gone by.

The smiles, laughter, and reminiscing made this activity just as special as the delicious ice cream. Sometimes the best recipes are the ones that bring people together. ❤️

We had a wonderful lunch outing at Dairy Queen today! 🍔🍦

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—it truly felt like they rolled out the red carpet for us! Their kindness, patience, and friendly service made our visit extra special, and the food was absolutely delicious.

Thank you, Dairy Queen, for treating our residents like VIPs and making our day one to remember. We can't wait to visit again! ❤️
