SHINGLES: MORE THAN JUST A RASH! 💥

Did you know that 1 in 3 adults will develop shingles in their lifetime? 😳

Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. After you’ve had chickenpox, the virus can stay dormant in your body and reactivate years later as shingles.

🔴 Shingles can cause:
• A painful, burning or tingling rash
• Blisters that can be extremely uncomfortable
• Nerve pain that can last for months - or even years

💉 The good news? Shingles can be prevented!

The Shingrix vaccine is recommended for:
✅ Adults 50 years and older
✅ Adults 19 years and older who are immunocompromised

Shingrix is given as a 2-dose series, typically 2–6 months apart.

And yes—you should still consider getting vaccinated even if you’ve had shingles before. Having shingles once does not guarantee you won’t get it again.

💙 Don’t wait until you experience the pain to think about prevention!

Breast cancer can affect men, too. Although it is much less common, men can develop breast cancer, which is why knowing your body and reporting unusual changes to a healthcare provider is important for everyone.

Keep an eye out for changes such as:
🎀 A new lump or swelling
🎀 Changes in breast size or shape
🎀 Skin or ni**le changes
🎀 Unusual ni**le discharge
🎀 A change that doesn’t go away

Knowing what’s normal for YOU is an important part of taking care of your health. 💕
